That's all I'm saying. You cannot do nothing period.

They made their trades earlier in the season. They got Priester and Vaughn.

They improved their roster at the deadline in 2019, 2021, 2023, and 2024 and still didn't win a playoff series in any of those years either.

they also already added a SP and 1B in trades.  Just because they don't happen on deadline day doesn't mean they didn't happen.  In reality, its smarter for obvious reasons to trade for help earlier in the year than it as it the deadline.

Still, I can't believe something wasn't done to improve offensive depth positions like Mono/Bauers.

I'd have preferred one more proven reliver like Bednar too.  have 3 guys at the backend like that is a huge perk.   At this point though, have to sit back and trust them.  Their idea on that could easily be that Mis will be that role come Sept/Oct due to innings

Sure. Well I guess one world series every 75 years works for you. Good luck

It's apparent this fan base is way younger than me because they think they are going to have best record in baseball every season so plenty of time.

This is dumb

Yep, it's an argument that no one is making. People see glaring holes on this team that there is zero excuse not to improve upon. No one is saying add major pieces no matter the cost

Ahh. OK. No holes then. We good. My apologies.

This is where I am too.  Absolutely shocked they didn't at least try and improve the bench.

At some point you can hoard only so many prospects. After this past draft, they are gonna have a hard time finding room for some guys. They could and should easily do a Suarez style return for a setup man.

Guess that's Preller truly going all in. Wonder what his job security is with the team, particularly if the Padres don't make the World Series or at least the NLCS?

He's good until the bills, financial & otherwise, come due.

Or we're just grateful we are clearly - stunningly crystal clearly - deep within the best era of Brewers fandom in the history of the organization. I choose immense gratitude.

I show that weekly by covering the Minor Leagues for the fans.

Do you think other teams don't have holes? Have you seen the Cubs bullpen? Phillies have the same issue.

Appreciate that my friend but when you drink that 18 dollar beer keep in mind that you deserve better.

GMs may be acting on the fact that there won't be a 2027 season, so prospects with 2027 etas are going to valued weirdly.

Manfred's anti-Milwaukee conspiracy continues. We have so much talent that projects well for that year.
