I will give this front office credit, it is incredibly challenging to get them to deviate from the plan. Remember when people thought they panicked in the Priester deal? Lol it is not in their DNA at all

It is definitely frustrating as a fan as there was an opportunity to upgrade the bench/depth and they didn’t pull the trigger

It depends on what you think is the real Durbin. The sample since June is fantastic. The sample before that is abysmal. Lol not large enough for me to make an accurate eval. Just saying think we could have extracted more value. Lockridge is equivalent to nothing. Guy absolutely blows.

I would be curious to hear more about the deadline and any deals that were "in the works" but could never get across the finish line. Totally understand fans being a little disappointed but also can understand not wanting to give up prospects for any rental for 56 games. 

Really fun deadline otherwise. Looking forward to seeing how some of these trades pan out.

Im good with the deadline.   Didn’t want to move any of the talked about guys for Suarez or O’Hearn or trade talent for a bullpen arm when we have so many starters in AAA that would be better than whomever we would obtain.

I still believe in this team, but man did today take some wind out of the sails. Sitting around watching a flurry of moves from every other NL contender at least slightly improving their depth, while we only salary dumped Cortes is depressing. Another fun deadline day in Milwaukee.

I'll be honest I didnt expect much outside of a Will Castro or Soroka addition (I work in the Cubs front office I think) I believe the people really mad are upset that they have to watch Ortiz take everyday at bats for the rest of the season... and for that I cannot blame them for their anger.

Having no real target shortstop at the trade deadline hurt. Wonder if there had been any look at some other team’s prospect shortstop (like Darell Hernaiz from the Athletics) while offering a pitching prospect in return.

Lockridge? I've seen him he is a complete waste of a roster spot. Drew Avans offers more. Hes fast and that is it. He's total trash lol.
