Off days in a playoff series suck, it negates one of the things the Brewers do well.  Taking pitches and getting to the pen early is a strength in the regular season much more than in a playoff series.

I don't feel it was desperation. He's on one day short of normal rest but only threw around 65 pitches in his last outing.

Give the Brewers credit, they're just ready.

I'd agree with you more if there weren't all the days off between games 1-2 and 3-4...feels like a game where the Cubs could just throw away if it gets completely out of hand and the pen isn't burned out because of it.
