Packers signed an actual kick returner, Skyy Moore.

Averaged 27.5 yards per kick return and 11.6 yards per punt return last season for the 49ers.

Lol, the Ravens “backed out” of the Maxx Crosby trade? What a terrible look.

The Bears are going to get him now, aren’t they? Their 26 and 27 1st and their two 2nds this year, write it down.

After Crosby failed his physical? That would be hilarious and further proof that the Bears were frauds in 2025.

Honestly would be a huge relief to just have someone catch the ball and have spatial awareness.

The NFL has posted the 7-round draft order on their site, and the Packers only have one compensatory pick in the seventh round, not two as had been thought/expected/projected.

2-52

3-84

4-120

5-160

6-201

7-236

7-255 (compensatory)

Hey, at least we won't have to watch our first rounder barely play this season.

I think Baltimore just got cold feet. Everyone knew Crosby’s medical situation.

I won't give them this much credit, but it could be the wildest 4D Chess of all time. Agree to something knowing you will back out when the physical confirms what you already know. Mess up everyone else's FA by having them think he is off the board and tie up resources elsewhere.

This changed quickly, Ravens just signed Trey Hendrickson to huge deal.

I don't generally feel bad for the Raiders, but they are really in a corner. Committed to a bunch of free agents in the interim. Maybe they shouldn't have moved, but it sure seems like the Ravens aren't being honest.

There's some clown podcaster who shows up on the Bleacher Report app's Packers X feed who just b****es about anything and everything the Packers do.  I'm not going to name him/them, but when Jenkins was released with a "failed physical" designation, of course he thinks he's smart without doing his research:

"First it was 'Rashan Gary was hacked'.  Now this?  What is going on in Green Bay?"

Aside from the fact that Jenkins finished the season on IR with a lower leg fracture and ligament damage that required surgery, clown show, see Maxx Crosby - that is why you designate guys as "failed physical".

Well, that makes the failed physical a bit suspicious.... Oh wait, we will keep our 1st round draft picks and sign Trey instead.

You lost me at "Bleacher Report".  Has that place ever had anything worth reading? And I'm sure the podcasts are worse.

I'm referring to their Packers Twitter/X feed - it compiles tweets/X from many sources including all of the Packers local media coverage, national media, former executives (Andrew Brant, etc.), local media for other teams that mentions the Packers/players, Packers PR, etc.  It's the only thing I look at and it is actually very helpful (80% of it at least ) in finding all of that in one place without having to be on X.

Their draft coverage and prospect analysis is also very good, and has been among the most accurate of all of the national media over the past several years.

Does it really matter when we will be called for holding half the time?

Only half the time?   I'd call the new Coordinator hire a success if he can get that level of improvement

Javon Hargrave released by Minnesota, he would be a good space eater in the middle of our line.

I wonder what the deal is with Rasheed Walker? He is by far the best FA still available and waiting for the money to dry up doesn't seem like a sound plan. Maybe the market isn't what he expected and the Packers could still bring him back?

Packers signed Hargrave, 2/$23M, per NFL

4th best tackling grade among IDL per PFF

I'm really liking our offseason so far (which is funny to say considering we lost 5 FAs, cut two high $$ vets, and traded another).

I'm a big proponent of using FA to establish a floor and the draft to define your ceiling. And it seems like we are filling that out.

  • CB is still an area in need of a major update, but just as we stand, it is averagish. Depth still needs work.  Zero upside right now, which is where the draft comes in.
  • DT - Hargrave, Ford, and Stackhouse give us a nice floor at NT.  Still needs another body in case Ford or Stackhouse don't develop. If you get better production from a backup NT, it wouldn't surprise me to see Hargrave at the 3 tech more too.
  • C - Rhyan was a poor starter last year, but he did look like he was improving. And he wasn't horrible.  Again... floor established.
  • Losing Gary and Enagbare, but LVN was producing about as much as Gary at the end of the year.  Barryn was taking some snaps in there too, so him taking Enagbare's role isn't too big a leap.  Cox looks better in a 3-4 defense...and I think Oliver will be a big wild card this year.
  • The OL floor feels a lot the same as last year, but could easily improve.  Morgan has a higher ceiling and lower floor than Walker, but I'd guess he will produce about the same.  Banks was improving as the season went on (health). Rhyan won't be worse than last year, but might be better.  Belton could improve significantly.  Tom will make the line better just be being healthy.  And Kinnard was a decent backup.  Depth is seriously lacking.
  • WR - Golden has a higher ceiling than Doubs. Doub's experience might be the only loss.
  • LB - I'm in wait and see to figure out the Franklin to Walker swap... but it was creative to say the least. Wooden was very good last year.. but not sure where he would've fit in this scheme anyway.

There were a bunch of backup level signings too for some depth, which is needed and didn't cost much.  I'm a fan of bringing back Whyle.  Seems like a Musgrave replacement for next year.

CB, DT, OL all still need some work, but I like it that we have NFL quality starters (better to be a bottom level starter than a backup quality) at all spots.

Now go get a nice draft!

The 2 guys I wanted were Hargrave and Woolen, I guess 1 out of 2 ain’t bad. Also I know it would have been hard to get both cap wise anyway. I really hope they get a day 2 corner and I’m happy we’re the packers are. Also very happy that they improved their return game with Skyy Moore.

I think the asking price is higher than his ability. He’s ok but he never struck me as a top offensive tackle free agent target, way too many mistakes

I'm surprised by the Hargrave addition.  He is 33 years old.  I thought Gutekunst would not allow himself to sign a player over 30.

I watched a highlight video on youtube, looks like those clips were pretty evenly split between him playing the nose and 3-technique.  If anyone reads about his snap breakdown at each spot, please post a link.

I was surprised how much they are paying him too, he has been released 2 consecutive offseasons. But maybe bringing in him and Franklin are an attempt to just put more vets around Parsons and hope for more consistency from the defense. At least they are trying something different, just bringing back Quay and Gary wouldn't give me a lot of hope for improvement.
