Is his beard sponsored by Nicholet Law office?

Since Nicolet Law are not defense attorneys, they would not likely choose Ortiz to represent the firm. 🙂

The beard makes sense, though.

Gruber might file an injunction.

Heard about Joey's beard. Was not expecting it to be same color as Justin Turner's.

Have we started a count yet on who is in the best shape of their lives?

I did notice when Turang showed up the other day he looked like he had added noticeable upper body muscle.

Hard not to root for Joey

As a former glove first SS, I very much appreciate what he brings to the team and am rooting for him. If he can get the bat back into the .240 range, that's good enough for me.

I read a scouting report on you that said it might help if you'd take the glove off while batting.

I'd love to go back 40+ years and give that a try LOL. Actually, I did OK at the plate too. I said glove first, not "only glove"...

The Brewers are playing baseball today!

I can't remember if we usually have a separate thread for ST games ... but nevertheless, big step today.

First lineup look:

1. B. Turang 2B

2. J. Chourio DH

3. A. Baddoo LF

4. J. Ortiz SS

5. T. Black 1B

6. B. Lockridge CF

7. D. Hamilton 3B

8. R. McGuire C

9. L. Lara RF

SP G. Stallings

Start the countdown.

Just saw Garabito is going to miss four months with a broken bone in his foot? Sheeeesh. Tough break for a young man who felt like he really had a chance to carve out a role as call-up multiple innings depth as well as a key cog to the Sounds 2026 staff.

Anyone else think this beat report was odd? Rosiak and Megill both seem to be intimating that they expected him to be traded so much so that they are still kind of expecting it? The headline is the kicker.

Or is Rosiak basically defending previous reporting that they were exploring trades, and wants to make clear that his sources were sound, and that his still being on the roster doesn't mean his reporting was off?

I mean I wouldn't put it past Arnold to make a deal at anytime. I think they gave up so much for Zerpa because they expect him to be a late inning guy for them. So I think they are happy to deal Megill if a team offers a good package, I just dont think theyve gotten that offer, maybe a ST injury will change that

Maybe the team told him they are shopping him, that's about the only thing that makes sense
