The Chicago White Sox are currently the number 2 seed in the AL with the inside track for a bye to the ALDS with a record of 59-54.

Is it too late to change our minds and move back to the American League?

I think I saw yesterday he's hitting under .200 in aaa.  So that's probably the biggest factor.     I guess it was weird to send him down before he started crashing, but they were proven right that the hot streak was a fluke since he's fallen apart in aaa.    Too bad, seemed like a good enough kid

Their pitching is awful and its likely impossible for them to do much about anytime soon while playing in Sacramento.    But yes, when healthy they have a heck of an offensive lineup.

Last night the Chicago White Sox accidentally went to visit their pitcher on the mound twice IN THE FIRST INNING.

The problem? A second mound visit requires immediately removing the pitcher. The umpires actually messed up the rule thinking he had to face the next batter, but that is not the rule. The delay allowed some warmup in the bullpen beyond the 8 pitches on the mound. 
 

They made this mistake the day after a 13 inning loss where they used 8 different pitchers.

Now that Max Scherzer has bumped Walter Johnson from tenth place on the career strikeout list, everyone in the top ten pitched at least as recently as the 80s, and none pitched in MLB before the 60s. The earliest career ending in the group is Gaylord Perry, 1983.

Dodgers lose another one. Wouldn't it be ironic if they end up in the 3rd spot and lose in the divisional round.

Just noticed the AL East has moved ahead of the NL Central for best record. 41 games over compared to 40 for the NLC. Doesn’t mean anything, but I’ve been noting it most of the season and I don’t remember a time this season when the Brewers’ division didn’t have the best record

We had a 4th out play in MLB tonight in the Boston v Toronto game.

Totally rare and wonderfully bonkers.
