* you're

Please explain your point.    You said the numbers and said .303 is ok.  I pointed out 200-230 based on taking out the one game (which is what we all said).  So, what is wrong making it 'dopey'

"Dope" is a versatile slang term with several distinct meanings, ranging from a synonym for "cool." 😁

Murphy … even in a blowout, his “in game decisions” make me scratch my head

That said, Murphy’s “intangibles” are unmatched in MLB

My guess on the logic here is that it was only the 6th inning and after what happened last night wants to play it safe and make sure nothing weird happens.  Put in your worst guy here and something bad happens next thing you know you have a real game in the late innings (minus Uribe and maybe Ashby)

Not saying I agree, I'd have probably rolled the dice on the others.  But that's my guess

Matt Waldron threw 59 pitches Tuesday and Stammen has him out there again today for the 7th (and maybe 8th?). I guess maybe Waldron qualifies as disposable arm?

Waldron is out of options and Giolito is set to pitch this weekend.  The SD news is speculating that Waldron will be DFAed.

That's about as disposable as they get, I suppose.

Not watching but ESPN app has that first pitch to France completely within strike zone. Are Brewers out of challenges or is Sánchez even more clueless about strike zone than I thought?

Vaughn’s  error might force the Brewers to use someone else in the bullpen to finish this one out

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I know folks are still salty about last night, but a 5-1 homestand against NYY and SD is a fantastic result. Sure, could've been 6-0, but they also could have easily dropped one or both of the walk offs against the Yanks.

Team has played better since getting a little bit healthier. Looking forward to a (hopefully) fun road trip.

As crushing as last night’s loss was it’s hard to complain about 5-1 on this homestand. When I made my prediction for the month I figured on 3-3.

The pitching has been encouraging, while the offense hasn’ t exactly been clicking. The 3 games in which they scored more than 3 runs without the aid of a free runner were vintage woodpecker ball with more walking, dinking, and dunking than hard hitting. Several players not swinging well.

I guess Rengifo should get people off his back now. He's never been an all-star but his work  in LA has mostly been solid & given the makeup & timelines that exist in the organization signing him made a lot of sense. And many people will see 2-4 w/3 RBI and hit stop, but he also saved two runs in the top of the 1st when it was still 0-0.

Harrison once again was just so poised. Gave up some hits but when you don't walk anyone.............and the BP obviously wasn't stressed but they all threw well. If Fitzpatrick can continue to perform it's huge w/the LH pen guys that are out.

Chourio reached five times in his first game, but just as impressive to me was his pitch recognition & swing decisions his first couple games. That's gotten worse as he's moved on & hopefully today was the bottom. Pretty ugly.

Going oppo vs Waldron tells me Mitchell is really, really concerned about staying on the ball above all else. He can run, so it's not the worst thing in the world. As always with him, stay tuned.

The knuckleball can allow you to throw a lot more than a usual workload-----although IIRC he didn't throw many on Tuesday. Like mentioned above, probably a case of riding the mule into the ground before bye-bye.

Don't understand why DL is coming in when Anderson, Fitzpatrick, and Woodford haven't pitched in a week. Anderson and Fitzpatrick for 1 and Woodford for 2 feels like a pretty easy decision to get them some much needed work.

I thought using Hall was fine as he hasn't thrown for three days, but agree re Woodford. One for him, one for Hall, and one each for Anderson & Fitzpatrick, both of whom had cobwebs hanging from their arms.
