Why are we pinch hitting for Mitchell when automatic out getter Frelick keeps on weakly grounding out to SS or 2B?  It doesn’t make any sense to pinch hit for Mitchell while let me roll a ground ball to an infielder is in the lineup.

Woodford

Ortiz

Rengifo

Frelick

Perkins

Hamilton (though he's fine as an infield backup)

Sanchez

Sproat (though I would be fine piggybacking him with someone)

Just so many spots to upgrade and we continue to do nothing.  It's hard to take this franchise seriously.

But but but they’re winning the division so we shouldn’t complain!

Gave up too soon I guess.

He only has 38 at bats double check at 75 at bats.

Nothing makes sense. I am sorry I love Murph but his loyalty to guys is a bit absurd. I get he likes Sal. But we have a guy that actually can hit with a better glove sitting in AAA

What is the over under on number of transactions that we make tomorrow?

I think 4.5 might be a low line..

Zero. They have shown no indication they want to improve this roster. I guess Crow will be gone. That's it.

The next time when the organization says it's serious about winning a World Series, point to the above players and ask why they are still here.

Okay, well we had two pitchers leave the game with injury so I was talking more about injury replacements but I hope you have a good day.

This is why I mentioned they should be flipped around in the order in these LHH heavy lineups. That way you pinch hit for Frelick not Mitchell in those spots.

Woodford Reserve leaves a bitter aftertaste

I honestly don't know the last time I've seen the ball carry like this in AmFam. Chourio's 2nd HR is the only HR today that should have been a HR based on EV and LA.

So Woodford finally has a game that would get him DFAed but we had two pitcher injuries so he’s going to be safe.

yuck.

But that’s what I was saying before.   Do you really want to bring up a bunch of young guys at one time.    Someone should have been up earlier if that was the plan.    Our regulars suck

Yeah. I have zero problem with doing that. And bringing them up earlier would defeat the whole super 2 purpose...

What difference does it make if you replace Perkins with Lara and bring up Jett Williams for... one of the other two in Rengifo or Ortiz(Rengifo would make more sense).

Considering there having him throw his arm off basically with this pitch count I wouldn't be so sure.

The difference would be actually having players with talent at those positions, Jett has some of the best on base skills in all of the minors. That usually translates to MLB level. Gives him a much better floor.

I didn't know anyone left with an injury. I wasn't trying to be smart. Just my opinion. If there are injuries then that is different.

Are you following this conversation?

I'm saying it doesn't matter if you bring up a couple young guys at the same time. They don't need to be staggered.

Did Anderson leave with an injury?

I only saw Hall... but I have exactly been glued to this game.

Jett has been a below average hitter in AAA so far this year with a .298 xwOBA. His .347 OBP is only one point better than the International League average of .346 this season.

I have no doubt there will be injury and performance replacements tomorrow.
