Despite all the disappointment and angst this has been one of the most amazing games I have watched.

How much of tonight was minor league stadium driven versus this is just what Las Vegas park factors will always be, even in new stadium?

You wouldn't believe it if we told you.

That sounds dangerous. Did the outfielders wear helmets?

You kind of just ran to where it looked like it was heading off the bat and hoped be close enough to not give up a triple. It was a truly miserable game.

Glad I don't have to go to bed angry. Brewers win.

I’m glad we won … I’m glad I stayed up … I’m still a little bit angry - maybe at MLB for scheduling a series here

Imagine a day at Wrigley with the wind blowing out, except you’re at Coors Field instead of Wrigley and you have Polo Grounds distances to the corners.

At least Coors made adjustments for the conditions by expanding the ballpark dimensions

I’m excited to watch this 48 degree launch angle home run. 🙂

Gasser is throwing 7 tomorrow whether he likes it or not. He might give up 24. He can't come out.

Crow can go tomorrow too. Basically need 7-8 between the two of them.

Do we memorialize this thread as an instant classic or purge it from existence? 🙂

A classic

The park was definitely a factor.  Smaller stands no stands in center made the wind much more significant.  Vegas is dry and at an elevation that can make balls jump if they aren't using  humidor.   Hopefully it will all be sorted with the new stadium.

Losing a game where you score 14 is not all on the stadium

I agree, but the A's are making progress.

When you look at Kurtz' power numbers vs LHP, it's quite different & that might've been why Ashby remained. Kurtz was due up 4th, and you had 8-9 leading off which was no problem. I would've probably gone with Uribe to save Ashby considering you have two more games of this nonsense, but there had to be a reason & that might've been it. Of course in this game, none of that crap made any difference.

One thing I'd like to see is the defense get its' groove back a little. It's been shabby. For all the HRs, we probably win in regulation except for the poor stuff from the left side of the INF early on combined with a couple of really good plays from the Oakland/Sacramento/LV MINF. I think Harrison let some of this stuff get in his head a little, which is understandable.

Having said that--when we were kids in the early spring we'd have practices on blacktop when the fields weren't dry yet. That's the infield at this place, basically. There are a ton of Brewer fans out there--I think we need about 75 of them to each drink a six-pack before the game tomorrow, and anything they need to do afterward, do it on the dirt in front of home plate.

I think Gasser just asked to go back to Nashville for a couple days.

It HAS to be, and I'm sure it will. This park is in a pretty open area too---a good 10-12 miles west of where all the buildings & fun stuff is---which doesn't help matters wind-wise. And the elevation IS pretty high there.

16 challenges ABS and seemingly a bunch of other ones on the bases…

The Brewers winning was the best news of the night. A close #2 is Clint Vondrack won't be behind the plate the next two days. It was brutal, for both sides.
