We deserve like a 10 run inning after that decision to walk Yelich.  So stupid.

I certainly don’t know why anyone would walk Yelich unless they’ve not paid attention tonight or the last few weeks. Unbelievable decision.

Are we out of challenges? That first strike was low.

Brewers have one remaining: the extra-inning challenge. Probably considered not worth risking it up by four runs. Save it for pitching.

We would have lost this game if it wasn't on Apple TV because I would have been watching when Grant Anderson was pitching and we all know how that goes.

I do have an issue with the auto-pinch running Perkins for Vaughn thing. If the Brewers have the lead and the defensive move is inevitable, fine. But if we are tied, I don't think we are playing the correct percentages - especially in a non-steal situation. At least not initially.

Perkins for Vaughn from 1st increases the chances of scoring on a double by a good margin - but the chances of a double being hit are low single digits? So the amount of doubles Perkins will score on compared to Vaughn PLUS the low chance a double is hit is probably something like a 1-2%ish chance of the move being necessary?

Now if Vaughn reaches 2nd, I am ok with the pinch runner because scoring from a single AND the likelihood of a single being hit are much higher probabilities. I also understand going 1st to 3rd, etc.

I can't say for certain if PR Perkins for Vaughn immediately like they are doing has produced the necessary result to make it the right move yet this year. But we now have a data point (tonight) where pinch running him did not alter us scoring, did not alter the defense the following inning, and DID take an at bat away from Vaughn with a chance to win the game later.

Sorry, that is a lot of typing. Main point, let the situation breathe a little before auto pulling Vaughn in those spots. We have more options than we think? Am I wrong?

I just hated the whole sequence. If you're pinch running Perkins there you need to get him moving. Instead Pratt first pitch bunted and it basically didn't matter at all that Perkins was the runner.

I turned it off after we didn’t score in the 10th and Anderson coming in. Fortunately I checked again before we rallied in the 11th.

When they walked Yelich to face Chourio I audibly said “What are those morons doing?”

One of those “burn the box score” type wins where we take the W and move on.

They all look the same in the standings

At least we used up the pen in a win.

This would have really sucked if we had lost while using all our frontline relievers.

The guy hitting .340 for the season needs to start playing more and stop taking g him out when he does play

Agreed. This team is so much more formidable when Vaughn and Bauers are both in the lineup.

I know but the percentage chance of losing in the tenth was very high.  You have to admit that
