I’m not sure Gasser has a clean inning in him tonight. This could be his last opportunity. Hopefully he departs in a tie game. He’s pitched poorly from the beginning.

Tim Allen was talking about this before and after the deadline and he is spot on. His argument was "if not now then when"? They didn't "go for it" last year when they won 97 games, they didn't "go for it" this year when they are/were on a pace to win 100 games. So if last year and this year weren't enough to "go for it" then tell us(the fans) what it WILL take to get to that point? What do they need to see to convince them?

Who was available offensively that would have made a massive difference? There was literally no good bats available that would have been a difference maker and worth the price

You aren't even exaggerating. Tie game, best record in baseball, Cubs aren't even winning tonight, and the season is over and Matt Arnold tanked it apparently.

I turned the game off in the 2nd inning.  Gasser and Drohan doing the same damn thing.  Noted the Brewers tied the game however the leadoff hitter for Twins got a basehit.  Just not going to sit and watch and get stressed to the max like some posters in the thread.   And what the Brewers did to Wilson after coming in last night to give the Brewers a chance in the late innings is jaw dropping.   Never even heard of the guy they called up.   Ok, good luck Brewers.

There needs to be context here instead of blanket statements.  For example, I didnt like what they gave up for May, but I would have given them up for Skubal.  So Ill put myself under the umbrella of you comment, but in my mind, for a logical reason.  (Not that I know anything)

So? The idea we're feasting on the Rockies and Angels is straight up false. We lost to the behemoth that is the Dodgers and Ohtani last year in the NLCS. No shame in that and that doesn't guarantee anything for this year.

They tried trading for Skubal and offered a good package. Tigers were always gonna trade him to the Dodgers unless the Brewers offered Made or Henderson which would have been dumb 

There was no really big difference maker available this deadline except for Skubal but Brewers issues aren’t pitching
