Jefry Yan should at least make this series a little interesting. All three of these Brewers starters will likely be starting a game in the playoffs so hopefully can take care of the last place Mets.

Mets have played well lately, something around 2/3 wins the last 3 weeks. Soto and Polanco are injured, as is Devin Williams, but the remaining roster is picking it up a bit. I'll be happy to get out of there with a series win, tbh.

They are 19-15 since the All Star break and 12-8 in August.

They’ve won series against the Phillies, Braves, and Padres, and swept Cleveland and haven’t been swept by anyone since the ASB

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Bauers gets the rare day off…….

He was hobbling around after fouling a pitch off his foot on Sunday. If Mitchell hadn't already left the game, they'd have probably taken him out. Hope he's ok

That 7 game lead lasted about two seconds.

Will be back to 6.5 by midnight. Just keep winning series. 6 of the last 7. Good chance to make it 8 of 9 this week.

They really are cutting back on Yelich's playing time a little bit. Didn't trust them to do it, but at least he's getting a few days off a week now.

People have talked a lot about the struggles of Yelich and Contreras…….understandably so…….but Turang has his own slump going right now…….hasn’t hit a home run in August…….and OPSing .520 in his last 18 games.

Need to get him going again.

The 5.5 game lead has lasted since June 1st.

Several lefties coming up this week too, which is unlikely to help him.   Maybe they can find one or two of those days to let Vaughn play 3B and give Turang a day off.   I think Miz is Thurs vs a lefty for the Mets, so could be a day there

Two pretty evenly matched teams then.  Should be a fun 7 games.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

pretty much always comes against lefties, which makes sense.

Now they need to realize it with Turang too.

Cannot really understand why Brice hits so high against lefties. A .623 career OPS and .564 OPS this year in your #2 spot hurts.

Gotta stroke their egos.
