Things looked grim when we couldn’t score anything off Boyd after two hits to lead off the 4th, followed by the Cubs scoring 3 in the bottom of the inning. I was definitely down at that point, but I tried to remind myself it was going to be a whole different game when we got to the Cubs bullpen. They have a good bullpen, but it hasn’t been good lately, and it’s nice to see the Brewers take advantage.

Big collective sigh of relief. 3 was a dream this series. 2 was the goal. 1 was important. The Cubs got the one they should have gotten. We stole the toss up game. Now we get our two guys to get one more. Big time control of this thing.

Real question, Cubs have fallen behind the Phillies now in the wild card... who do we want to have home field there for that 4/5 game?

I assume that anybody that knocks out the dodgers in the playoffs gets a teamwide free steak meal at every city they travel to The following season. And probably as much beer as they can drink.

Really liked Romero out there.  Looked very sharp and a good add to the BP.

I really like what I saw with Romero tonight. His fastball is lively, and he stays in and works the entire zone. He's going to be a real asset.
