Up 2-0 despite the nerves and errors and Turang playing like he’s concussed. Even Henderson wasn’t himself for the first few innings. Amazing!

Get ‘er done in San Diego!!

Gracias Senor Octubre!!!

And kudos to the bullpen: 0 earned runs over 4 innings to give the team a chance. Woo hoo!!

Def not over yet. Padres are a great team at home and I would go May-Mis-Henderson if needed

Yeah, series definitely not over but my God that was an all-timer moment as a Brewer fan and fan of Wisconsin sports in general. Goodness.

It’s over mate. San Diego will have a moment but a 103 win team doesn’t throw away a 2-0 5 game series lead it’s over we can concentrate on the dodgers or braves now

Don’t ever forget that Jackson freaking Chourio was compared to Tyrone Taylor on this very space only a couple months ago….

That’s SENOR October to you! Now and forever!

That was possible because three guys went up there and didn’t swing at anything they couldn’t hit. Every called strike was garbage to swing at. No one bailed Miller out with weak contact. Eventually they wore Miller out and he had no choice but to pitch to Chourio.

Miller was missing the strike zone allowing walks too.

Baseball is boring, huh?

That extension is already worth it and everything else is gravy - we have a bad man in Milwaukee....and he's 22.  The Padres had to have that one, and we ripped it out of their souls

If May pitches well in Game 3 & the Brewers win to sweep San Diego - it would completely validate the trade where we gave up quality prospects at the deadline … even though May has not pitched well as a Brewer thus far

I don’t even think the brewers are playing that well right now.   I would think one of these next two games are going to see the brewers play a really good solid game and finish this off right?

I was going to post about how in a game where you have terrific pitching, you can't give stuff away. They gifted us one, but we gifted them two. And how there were IMO two huge ABs---Love him or hate him, Machado had a massively impressive walk in the 1st inning. A WP & hit later it's 1-0. In the other, Mitchell gets ahead of King 3-0 & can't find a way to reach. The next three hitters come up with knocks. A one run inning could've been two or more.

That's what I was GOING to post about.

Instead I'll post about a refusal to quit, on a team where it's much more than just a cliche'. About three gritty walks drawn in a critical situation, vs someone who most consider the games' best closer, by a veteran bench guy who's had a lot of big ABs & a couple of folks who some questioned whether they should even be on the PS roster.

I was in the ballpark the day Nyger Morgan walked off Arizona. Even though that was in an elimination game, I think that moment has just been eclipsed.

Numbers........Five runs allowed in two games vs a red-hot squad. And we gave them two of those five. And going back to late April, a 92-46 record. That's two out of every three in the win column, over 138 games. Not sure what to even say about that.

I wouldn’t pitch Miz on three days rest.   That never works.   Especially for a hard thrower

Tried watching them yesterday, walked out of the room today. This Bozos weren’t putting a damper on my mood.

That bozo Poppi was absolutely deflated his precious buddies Machado and Tatis lost.  lol

Murphy is the best manager in the NL, but you have to respect Stammen. He’s got the best closer in MLB and took a gamble he could get the six out save and head back home tied 1-1, and Miller almost got there.

Half the managers wouldn’t have the cojones to take the gamble in the first place. Plus, Stammen might be the only person with San Diego not saying France should’ve had a homer.

Did you see A Fraud put his bat between his legs while Jeter and Papi were talking? That was.....odd.

A Fraud.  lol

All those clowns were rooting for SD.  Very unprofessional.

Agreed, especially today. It underlines the stuff that everyone talks about but is so often overblown--grit, playing for each other, never giving up. It sounds so damned hokey, but it's a real thing with this group.

And even if they take the next 2 they still have to come back to Milwaukee.

Love our chances and expect to get 1 of 2 in SD, but we could have lost both these games. And any team can lose 3 in a row, it's baseball.

The Padres back end of the bullpen has lost them both games this series...guessing not many people had that correctly prognosticated.

A 6 out save in october with a 1 run lead is, to be frank, a recipe for disaster with any closer today. Even if it worked out getting them a win you essentially weaken your biggest strength the rest of this series even with an off day for travel.
