I'd rather he put a good swing on a Fastball than be down 0-1 there.

It was a bad pitch location to swing at there.  He can’t lift the ball away from him anymore.  Just an absolutely awful decision to swing at that pitch.

Pretty sure it’s because he is awful at third and mediocre at first.

Here’s the thing ….

Bauers also sucks defensively.

6-24 on the road and 12 straight losses is friggin' comical.

Unlucky 13?

Played without an ounce of luck tonight.

Come on with the third base ********.  We are *not* throwing him at third in the playoffs. Jesus ******* *****.

You start both! You don't sit either.

Bauers has had terrible at bats all series. I wouldn't mind sitting him. I don't want Bauers in LF in a big game, and Yelich has been too good to sit.

You are NOT playing Vaughn at 3B in a playoff game.

That's like Kotsay in CF. It's for late innings when you're out of choices.

You find a way to play Vaughn every day, you do not sit a guy with his batting average. He's a better hitter than everyone on the team aside from maybe Churio. He does not have the pop because of injury but he hits for average. Play him at third. He's worth the at bats as opposed to the defense. I don't get it.

Isn't he a 1st baseman?  Put him there and sit Bauer.  Bauer and Mitchell can't hit the broad side of a barn.

He gave up 2 runs which is the same amount of runs that Henderson and Miz gave up

This is why I dont understand all the Miz hype.  He gave up more runs this year than Senzatela.  They should give Senzatela the CY.

The Brewers are still in the drivers seat. Minus Miller, San Diego’s bullpen is going to be on fumes if this goes 5 and they have to come back to Milwaukee and face Miz.  Yes, I want to finish this out tomorrow and have Miz for Game 1, but the most important part is advancing.

This is playoff baseball you put your best offensive baseball players out their.

When we did not trade for a third base bat in October I was worried. But Vaughn looked more than capable there during the season.

So far in the series.

Chourio - 2 for 12...but big ones they were.

Bauers - 2 for 11

Turang - 1 for 11

Mitchell - 2 for 11

Ortiz - 1 for 6

oh well, is what it is. Yelich hitting a ball fair is better than the BS half the team did prior to even put him in that position. Bauers and Mitchell watching as many baseballs as the people sitting at home.

He hit a bullet right back up the middle.

You run through the WHOLE list of things that went wrong, Yelich swining at the first pitch and hatting a bullet is not the problem.

won Game 3 at LAD
18- lost 2—Games 4 and 5 against Dodgers

19- Lost 1 against Nationals

20- Lost 2 at LA

21- Lost 2 at Atlanta

25- Lost 2 at Cubs

26- tonight

that’s “only” 10

You forgot the 2 in LA last year in the NLCS. So it's 12.

To be fair to Jackson he could have had like 6 hits this series

Let a very good chance to sweep go through the fingers tonight.

Really need to get some multiple-RBI hits when the opportunities present themselves. Have Chourio’s 2-run homer in Game 1 and 2-RBI single in Game 2. But no one else has produced in those situations.

Padres ran their bullpen arms today. No clue who will start for San Diego.

Brewers were able to leaveAshby and Megill idle in the pen; Uribe pitched short tonight, So they should all be ready and rested for Game 4. Maybe Gasser starts, but it’s likely a cobbled together first six innings.

Padres defense won this one and Brewers defense lost it.

This is it right here. That diving stop in the hole Xander made, and us dropping a few shorthops.

Did he lift the ball yes or no?  The not lifting the ball was key there please reread what I wrote.

Difference of the game was that Padres played way better defense

They saved potentially 3 runs while the Brewers defense cost one run

So you legit think not having Vaughn's bat but having him at third would not be an advantage for the Brewers? Come on man.......Did you actually see that Vaughn was not bad at third? or do you just assume?

Not to mention Jackson robbing Frelick and JC of extra base hits to lead off the inning early on. Could have very well been runner at 2nd and 0 outs in the 1st and 3rd innings
