I think we will be fine if we split the home games 1-1, but from a narrative perspective it would be really nice to start with a W.

I’ll be curious if the Dodgers employ the “foul ball to death” strategy against Miz. They seem to prefer to feast off mistake pitches but even if you know a Miz fastball is coming it might not help.

Here we go again! AmFam is gonna be rocking.

FWIW, ticket prices for game 1 have become (more) affordable today.  If interested, the best brokers are gametime, tickpick and seatgeek, all of whom give full price data upfront.  Beware stubhub, who hit you w/ fees at the very end of checkout.

don't use tickpick.

I bought tickets at 7am last saturday. took my money. emailed. "transaction complete"

didn't get an email from them til 5pm that the seller could not fulfill the tickets.  never again

Both teams go with a 13-13 split for their rosters. Brewers send out the exact same squad, which won't be a surprise to anyone.

Dodgers replace pinch-runner Kim with lefty Wrobleski.

Be nice to get off on the right foot for this one. Game 1 was our best shot last year. Let's finish the job this go around.

I would give Vaughn and/or Gary a start tonight given their ability to crush LH 4 seamers, which Skubal throws 42% of the time to righties.

Also, Ohtani, Freeman, and Muncy should probably not face any righties in this series that are not named Misiorowski, Henderson, Uribe, or Megill. Use our LHP depth to our advantage.

Be curious to see if the roof is open. IIRC, MLB usually opts for the closed set up and keeps it that way for each game, citing consistency. I was surprised it was open for NLDS Game 2 in that sense, since opening it was basically just responding to the roof narrative.

Looks like a beautiful night and not sure it matters much given the post-sunset start. Just an idle thought, 7 hours prior to first pitch.

You must not have used StubHub in like a decade. It’s been years since the government got involved and told companies to stop burying fees in the checkout. StubHub was the main offender and had to fix their way of doing things.

I think the faster we get a win out of the way, the better. After the sweep last year I think the team will play a lot more relaxed with a win on the board.

Certainly would feel good to have Miz have a gem of a game against Skubal and pick up the win. Don’t think we can afford many 4 inning Miz starts and expect to win the series of the Dodgers.

I’ll take a 5-3 Brewers win today, we get at their bullpen.

I disagree, 2-0 in MIlwaukee is not a total must but at least a 75% must minimum.

This series is headed for 7 games and all of the pitching matchups are basically even.

Down 0-2 is the only situation that I’d be seriously worried about.
