You’re acting like they had any other choice. May and Drohan were going to pitch today regardless

Uribe has been in every game but one. Ashby almost as well.

Which is the problem, they didn't have another choice.

"Who would you pitch?" is something nobody should be asking in Game 4 of the NLCS. The starting rotation is not very deep and Arnold failed in not bringing in someone better than May.

Or Harrison completely deteriorated after the ASB which you can’t really predict

Well, at least give the guys who haven’t pitched since September some work.

I’m not gonna freak out and say the Dodgers are coming back to win the series now, but I do think k this game showed that they should do a 3 man rotation in the World Series

Not enough off days to run a 3-man rotation. Have gone 6-man rotation for a good portion of the season. Won’t start the young arms (Mis, Henderson, Gasser) on short rest. This type of Game 4 is what you just have to get through, But if you can get your Top 3 starters available to open the series—and pick up wins—it isn’t terrible.

I maybe would have started Patrick or Harrison.

Which is crazy considering they are up 3-0 with an insanely crappy pitching matchup

And almost every negative comment is about the insanely crappy pitching matchups.  So how is your post showing that you are above it all?

I think the "punt the game" thing needs to take a rest. They don't have many options to start this game. No Miz, no Henderson, no Gasser, no Ashby, Uribe or Megill. Any way you carved up this game, those two guys were extremely likely to see the mound. I'm not sure there's any valid criticism to be made other than May for just being a crappy baseball player at this point of his career, and Drohan being pretty much what he's been for months.

Yeah. I don’t think they had any intention of punting this game when it was 0-0. Not that I think they’re punting now that it’s 4-0, although it changes pitching decisions now obviously. I think the hope was that Drohan, May, Patrick and Harrison would give them some relatively clean innings or at least keep it at 2-3 runs of damage and try to be close late. That’s all. But you can’t limit your 13 man pitching staff in the playoffs to 10 in a 7 game series.

That really hurt.  And of course May sucking didn’t help either.

I'm not acting like anything. I made the same point a couple posts up. You're not the board police and it's not irrational for people to be upset about losing a clinch game.

Yeah but if the Brewers would have know Harrison was gonna get destroyed the second half they probably go after someone else
