    Paulino and Ibarguen each singled then double stole a run home. Holguin walked on a wild pitch to put runners on 2nd/3rd setting up Ortuno to sac fly a second run home. & now Quero doubles home a third run to tie it back up at five each. Quintana walks making it 1st/2nd one out for Montero.

    Walk, triple, sac fly to open the second and Mercedes gives the two runs right back. Then it’s a single and double for another run making it a 5-2 deficit heading to bottom two.

    Ortuno lead off BOMB followed by a trio of singles from Quero, Montero and Flores plus a wild pitch got both runs back for the Zona Crew in the bottom half.

    Mercedes starts out rough with a pair of singles, a walk and a hit batter scoring a run. Bounces back pretty nice though with a sac fly and two strikeouts.

    If Hudson can’t hold his velo from appearance to appearance in one inning stints, I’d guess he also wouldn’t be able to hold it trying to throw 5 IP / 100 pitches at a time.

    Fielder finally didn’t walk, lining out to end the fifth, but Ereu leads off the sixth with his fourth walk of the game. What’s the opposite of a Golden Sombrero? A Home Walk? A Votto?

    First five innings of this ACL game offer an interesting snapshot to the approaches of both the hitters and pitchers on the team. Even on an off night Dorchies had 0 BB | 3 K in 5 IP. Meanwhile the hitters have 10 BB | 3 K. Connor Thomas on for the 6th.

    Jadyn Fielder and Kevin Ereu must strike intimidating poses in the box or something, oh for oh with six walks combined today. Two more BBs from the pair, plus a Frederi Montero single and wild pitch have us in the Dolly Zone, 9 to 5.

    After a rough third inning, then sitting for another eight batters & a pitching change in the bottom half…Dorchies responds with his third 1-2-3 frame of the game in the top of the fourth.

    Fielder & Ereu walks and a pair of errors have the AZ Brewers back on top 6-5 bottom three. & a wild pitch makes it a 7-5 lead. This is some real On The Complex baseball tonight.

    That Kevin Ereu has walked nine times in 50 PAs when he only has three singles in those same 50 PAs really speaks to the level of command on the complex.

    After sitting around around for two walks, three singles, a wild pitch, a stolen bag, an error, five runs, a pitching change, a balk and another wild pitch…Dorchies runs into trouble in the third. Single, double, single, single (two runs) to open the inning. Mound visit and he goes fly out, and a pair of E4 as two more runs cross the plate. Another single and now it’s tied at five.

    Quintana singles home a third run then steals a bag to make it 2nd/3rd no outs. Quero strikes out and Handelfry pops out, but Ortuno comes through with the two RBI single, 5-0 Brewers.

    Don’t believe so. Occasionally they’ll play at a stadium with the full StatCast array and get pitch types, velocities, exit velo, etc. Think pitch locations are accurate for those games, but the rest of the games they aren’t really trustworthy.

    & Paulino singles to load the bases, setting the stage for an E5 off the bat of Holguin, 2-0 lead for the crew still nobody out for Quintana.

    Quero singled and Ortuno walked to get a little traffic for the Zona Crew in the first but nothing more came of it. Dorchies posted another three up three down in the second, two more fly outs and a grounder to first. Fielder leads off the second with a walk and goes to second on a wild pitch with Ereu back filling first in a walk of his own.
