I have to say, I probably picked the most boring bracket possible, besides picking all top-seeds. No major surprises in my bracket. I just think this is going to be the year of the "ho-hum" NCAA Tournament with just a few upsets, but nothing major and no specatacular runs by improbable cinderella teams. I got UNC, Kansas, Texas, and UCLA in the final four. Oh, boy . . . . such risk by me . . . .

I'm in. Tennessee, Wisconsin, Texas, and UCLA in the Final 4, with Texas winning it all. I've never liked picking #1 seeds, but I like UCLA this year. And Wisconsin has a pretty nice bracket if they want a chance to make it.

my brackets are done but this is the first year in a while i don't have a strong opinion on the champion. although i am usually wrong, i usually have a good opinion.

I thought hard about it, and then filled it out. I had four number one seeds in the Final Four. I know this won't happen, and I don't have those four teams as my top four, but I think the brackets are arranged in such a way that those four teams are each the best in their region.

 

I simmered on it some more and realized I can't possibly keep four number ones in. I had to pick an upset somewhere... So I ended up taking Washington State in the East.

 

I really hate choosing a team for the final four when they have a very real chance of losing in the second round. I will be extremely angry with myself if Wazzu loses to Notre Dame. But, what the heck. Now I'll just be rooting for UNC to lose to *somebody*, which is something I don't mind doing at all.

I like Tennessee. I met Bruce Pearl several years ago while intening at UWM. He showed up at an official function straight off the practice court wearing comically short shorts. He is a crazy man who most likely saves his nail clippings, but he knows how to motivate a basketball team.

 

My aunt is a Knoxville resident and long time Lady Vols fan and season ticket holder. When Pearl showed up at a women's game painted orange with a T on his chest, she put money down for Men's tickets as well...

I'll imagine a lot of people will be kicking themselves for not taking Georgia if they hold on. Coming in so hot, and Xavier only so-so, it was so tempting to take them. I went with my head though.
