Should guys wear Crocs?

No way. I don't believe that men should wear sandals (outside of flipflops at the beach) or clogs either. That said, I am an extremist on this issue. If "comfort" is the main issue here, why doesn't everyone just wear bedroom slippers and spare me the sight of their toes?

I reserve the right to point and laugh at anybody, male or female, child or adult, wearing crocs. They are the worst fashion trend since Zubaz.

I have a friend who insists they are the most comfortable "sandals" he has and his wife loves them because they're the only "sandal" that doesn't make his feet sweat and, therefore, stink. He swears by them.

I haven't bought a pair, however. Even though he tried to sell how good they are to me.

I do own a pair of crocs. I wear them around the house and out in the yard all the time, as they're really comfortable and easy to slip on/off.

However, if you see me wear them in public, feel free to punch me in the face.

No.

Expand your question to include women as well and my answer still remains the same.

I agree. I do think they're OK for kids, though as they're easy to get on and off, require no tying, and make things easy for their parents.

I can see a time and place for Crocs - they look like they'd be all right for muddy yard work or something, because couldn't you just hose them off before you come inside from the yard?

But I don't like the look of them and wouldn't care to wear them anyplace else.

I will give men a pass if they work in the medical field. I know plenty of surgeons that wear them in the OR. They say crocs are comfortable and as stated before their feet don't sweat. I would not give anyone a hard time knowing that they could have their hands inside of me.

One time my buddy wore them out to a party. A guy at the party said to him..."hey man, nice shoes. I didnt know guys actually wore those." That is exactly how I feel about the situation.

Wow. I don't own a pair, but I think people should wear whatever they feel comfortable in, whether that be crocs or a paper bag with a string for a belt. Seriously, don't be so judgmental people.

Go ahead and wear what you want, but there's so way I'm wearing them. I think what bugs me most is that the guys I see are always wearing ones that are orange, lime green or some other bright color.

No one that has hit puberty should wear crocs...ever. I don't care if they are the most comfortable thing in the world. They look awful.

We had a discussion at work about these one day and we went on their website. I can't believe how many different styles of them they make. They are all awful, but the worst that I saw were meant to look like a dress shoe, yet they still had those stupid holes all over them. Any adult who wears them might as well have a bluetooth on and show everyone how big of a tool they really are.

Funny this topic comes up today because just last night I was out to dinner with my mom and saw a guy wearing crocs. I thought to myself "I didn't know guys could wear those.".

I will slightly back off my previous statement, making an exception for yard work. That seems like an acceptable use. Also allowable:

Chew toy for dog

Quick in/out shoe (taking out trash, checking mail, getting paper)

No. I actually had this conversation with my mother the other day when i came over to help her with something. Just because they make crocs for men, doesn't mean they should wear em.

Mario Batali always wears them and I can't stand it. They just look awful.
This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

Yes. Men not only can wear Crocs, they SHOULD wear them. It should be required wearing just once for all you Croc haters out there! I blew out my knee and had to have surgery. After that, every shoe I wore exacerbated the knee problem. Crocs? Helped me walk again! Geez you guys are a bunch of Croc-o-phobes. Must be something Freudian!

If they are so comfy, I agree, they should be required wearing. Mine are a bit too small, so my wife has to return them for the next size up, so I can't report on it yet.

my cousin bought some for the hospital, but it did take us some searching to find the ones without holes on the top, as he needed those for any blood splatter.

i'm also going to have to stand up for the hiker community and say that crocs are awesome. they are almost universally worn by long-distance hikers because they let the feet swell after a long hike, and it's a huge plus that they're also about the lightest camp shoes you can buy. Hiking was where I was introduced to them, so this is the first i've ever heard that they were thought of as female footwear.

of course, I'm a socks-and-sandals wearer, so i suppose i have no giant regard as to what might be kosher in social situations.

I would love to wear crocs. I would also love to wear sweat pants on the town. Lastly, I would love to never have to shave or comb my hair but as a functioning member of society one must sacrafice a little for the sake of others and I am the kind of guy that will subject oneself to make sure others don't have to put up with the stinky hobo walking the streets.

Also, I don't shave anymore.
