The Reds are out of the race, it's the 7th, Volquez is at 113 pitches, clearly tiring, and Dusty's leaving him out to hang.

 

Predictable, it nothing else

They only have like a 12 man pen. Volquez has to be run into the ground!

nice. I like to see our MVP Braun coming through like that. say what you will about Prince but Braun has been money this month (a big month for voters.) Of course, it doesn't help Prince that he has little protection behind him in the lineup, but still . . . .

At this point if Braun doesnt win I will be shocked. His numbers all across the board are pretty remarkable for a guy who was injured for a couple weeks

How great is it that our Braun and Yo, arguably our best hitter and pitcher, were both drafted and developed by the Crew and locked up for the next few years?

Braun is now .00058 behind Reyes for the batting title.

 

If he wins the batting title, I don't see how he doesn't get the MVP.

Yuni has a home run and 2 RBI and Kotsay has 3 RBI tonight. Crazy

It's called WAR is a telling statistic . . . but what it doesn't tell you is that any player at any time in MLB can do stuff that you don't expect. Too bad that this all happens when the game is more or less over instead of in tight 1-run games.

 

But I'll still take it.
