For some reason this one feels good to me. It was almost like the 2nd half started 3 days earlier than we were expecting and we couldn’t catch up. Got a rest day. The Cubs took an L. Deep breath, little lineup tweak. Now let’s start the 2nd half for real.

 

Davies is on the mound so we will score 9. I feel good about tonight.

I like the shakeup to get Thames out of 2. Maybe i'd prefer Santana 2 and Braun 4, but obviously it doesn't really matter. Just like shaking things up with Thames and seeing if it can get him going again.

The Nationals are a great hitting team up and down the lineup. While typing this Davies just struck out Harper. Hopefully Davies has a good game.
