For me it’s not that I know he will be the next ace of the Brewers but he could be. He has a shot to be a very good pitcher. I’ll take the chance and so he needs to stay a Brewer. We always want young controlled arms but when they come up and pitch for us, a lot of fans hate it. I don’t understand.

It's the dilemma of patience with young arms versus the position that we're in where we want to make the playoffs and win now.

Woodruff has probably the same or better upside as Peralta, but we're not willing to be patient enough to give him the whole year in the MLB rotation and leave him alone. If it was 2016, we probably would.

That and the line for the pitchers is razor thin because of the offense. That plus a pennant chase and you have a lot of pressure on a pitcher that probably should still be in AAA.

Well that's one way to limit Peralta's innings.

Except he threw more pitches than any other start (IIRC)...

He's been over 90 in just about every start and 98 or better four times. Sometimes he gets to six or seven innings, sometimes not. Either way, he has some work to do with consistency.

Can Barnes go out for another inning? He has looked good and could really save the bullpen

Only 14 pitches so maybe.

Cleveland has put up 17 runs in four innings vs the Reds. It could be worse I guess.

Need to hurry up and score before Craig puts in our worst reliever (Lopez?).

And for the record, I dont disagree with his strategy of not pitching Hader/JJ/Knebel when we are losing

I am not Shea Vucinich

And now that the Marlins have the lead we can't touch Straily.

He's probably done though.

Debbie Downer Alert: Last two times we've had 4 all-stars we collapsed in the second half :( :( :(

Guess we have to get Jeffress in as well

Shaw has left a lot to be desired. Lots of errors lately and a couple solo shots.

For as "sure handed" as i always hear that Travis Shaw is, he sure does appear clumsy at times.

All of a sudden the field turned into a slip n slide.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Great time to drop a series to the worst team in the NL through what seems to be a lack of concentration and energy.
