It also seems a little odd to declare a bullpen game ahead of time if you know JJ is out, so hopefully something that just came up today. Also would explain trying to extend Peralta earlier

Since the brewers have like 57 guys in the clubhouse now after September callups, probably a good thing to get a guy with the flu out of there before half the team comes down with it right before playoff time

I loved Villar. But not hitting leadoff on a playoff contender in October. I'm sure he'll be terrific playing for a crap team for the next few years.

Jeffress last pitched on his birthday on Friday night. Only 10 pitches and seemed fine afterwards. As others stated, hope it is just a 24-hour illness.
