Oooof Yaz missed a good one

The location was bad, but it still had good spin and break. If you rewind and watch the replay you can see the "dot" that's often talked about with a slider.

Looking at the replay of the homer. Does Cain get that ball?

I was thinking the same thing. It was in the right-center gap, but it was a catchable ball. I'm going to say yep.

I think he gets it too

Well, if we lose it wno"t kill our chances. We shouldn't expect to win all of these games.

It certainly doesn't kill them, but dropping a game in the divisional race at this point in the season is quite damaging in that particular race. 3 games in 10 is very unlikely to be overcome. WC and even WC1 would still be very open.

Long ways to go though, still would like to get this one especially with an LHP coming to town tomorrow.

Nice work from Houser in that inning. Settled back down nicely after giving up the bomb on a really poorly located pitch.

If only he had his velocity :rolleyes

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

LOL, right ... our favorite conclusion jumper did point that out, didn't he?

Houser has sat at 95-96, occasionally touching 97 during his time in the bigs, and that's exactly where he's at tonight.

If we keep swinging at 98 mile an hour fast balks up and out of the zone it's going to be a long night......

Was thinking the same thing. So many checck/bad swings tonight.

These strikeouts the last two nights are getting ridiculous. Can’t afford a team wide hitting slump.
Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Not a lot of plate discipline. This guy is kinda ll over the place, and the Brewers are letting him get away with it.

Not the best time to go into a lineup wide slump.

It does kind of make me wonder how good this team's advanced pro scouting is, because this isn't the first relatively young, inexperienced pitcher with middling numbers who has carved this lineup up this year. They seem to do much better against more familiar guys, but any guys with limited exposure seem to really get to them a lot. Perhaps it's just perception and not reality.
