Narvaez has the early lead towards being the Brewers most valuable offensive/position player this season, and it’s not particularly close at the moment.

 

This is the guy I thought we were getting last year.

Seen it a quite a few times, usually hits the batters helmet. Can’t say I recall an instance where someone was on base and advanced though.

What happened? On Gameday it looks like he took a strike three called a ball and then homered on the next pitch.

 

Caratini threw it off Narvs bat. Shaw ran to 2. Shoulda struck out, but then hammered a hanging curve.

Catcher hit Narvaez bat throwing it back to the mound....Shaw advanced to 2nd

On the pitch that really was a strike but was called ball 3, the catcher threw to third and before it went anywhere it bounced off Narvy's bat and rolled around, giving Shaw 2nd.
