What a great series coming out of the all star break

Can't believe the worst offense in the league has scored at least 23 runs in the series & if they hold on for the sweep will take a seven game lead over the best team in the NL Central.

Miracles happen every day, I guess.

Very well played

Yup & FanGraphs uses UZR for their defensive component, which is more on the conservative side. DRS has the Reds at -24.

I think the Reds are below average defensively everywhere except maybe catcher
I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

Burnes can go all the way in this one.

He's dealing it so far today: 7.0 IP, 3 H, 1 BB, 9 SO... very nice

There's an old saying, "a run prevented is just as good as a run scored."

& while that's mostly true, what Stearns & company seem to understand (check out TB & OAK for further proof) that the Reds don't is that a run prevented is actually slightly better than a run scored because it's cheaper to buy defense than it is to buy offense.
