Hopefully Brett Anderson has arm issues and is put on the IL…in this day and age an ERA OVER 4 is the equivalent of an era of 5 from only a few years ago. He gets battered the second time throughout the lineup far too often. Have little fait for a crew win with him on the mound. Definitely shouldn’t be on the playoff roster come

And another K for Yelich.

By sheer reflex, I saw Kolten at first, down 2 runs, and I clapped my hands and said "C'mon! Tie this up!"

What a fool I was

"So if this fruit's a Brewer's fan, his ass gotta be from Wisconsin...(or Chicago)."

15 games left for the reds against the pirates and Cubs. Oof

You might want to take advantage of these last couple of games we have left against these scrubs

Eh, Anderson has been fine. Good, even. Peralta, Burnes, and Woodruff have been fantastic.

His FIP is 4.5.

Yes, thank you. This more or less supports what I said. Anderson has been fine.

Below Average 4.40

He’s below average. That hardly qualifies as fine but he won’t be pitching meaningful games in the playoffs so I’m fine with him.

Not sure why everyone decided to play home run derby there…

Yeah, to the point they couldn’t hold on to their bats. That was a rough round of at bats after Wong.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

I get this take. But you could also look at this game and think, “huh, even a rebuilding team can run into some runs every once in a while, I bet Cincy isn’t going to just sleepwalk to a sweep in any of their series down the stretch.”

As good as the pitching and offense have been recently, the defense has certainly had some cringeworthy moments in the past couple of weeks.

He also has an xFIP of 4.02 and an ERA+ of 118, both which would be above average. I guess if you want to use whatever subjective statistical measurement makes him look worse you can make him look below average, but he's been fine.

He's asked to be a bottom of the rotation pitcher. He's not expected to be our ace.

Fine. Then they go 14-1. Whatever

I don’t think people understand how bad these two teams are. This is not a normal under .500 baseball team. These are not major league caliber teams. Our 13 games against the cardinals are not going to be as easy with flaherty coming back.

The brewers better win the next two.

Write this one off and hope that it doesn’t turn into one of those clunker weekends against a bad Pirates team that we have seen too often over the years.
Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I don't have much faith in our back of the bullpen guys.

I mean, it's Topa's second outing...

Cousins, Strickland, Box, Williams, and Hader have all been good to great.

Throw in Suter and you've got a really solid 6.

It's hard to sweep double-headers. And the Crew is throwing two of their worse pitchers. Happens. Clean it up, get the Phillies a win, take game two, and call it a tread water day.

Agreed. It was more meant as a comment on our two latest additions along with topa.

Got it. I thought you meant back end of bullpen. Same page. My mistake.
