I hate that we're somehow out of catchers already. I hate that Woodruff didn't just start this inning if he was available. I'm glad it worked out though.

 

I think they probably wanted Woodruff to cover the 7th and maybe the 8th if needed.

Woody was probably only gonna give an inning or two at most anyways. After they took out Lauer in the 4th, we were gonna need 4 innings+ to get to Hader, so Ashby was gonna pitch today no matter what.

There's no way hader pitches 3 innings. I could see maybe 4 or 5 outs, but not 3 innings.

Stick with Woodruff as long as he can go - best case you get through the 8th. Anything past 7 though is great and as soon as Woody is done gotta go to Hader

Have to say I don't understand not just bridging Lauer with Woody if you knew he could pitch. I get hoping he can go on normal rest but this is an elimination game here.

I feel him getting 4-5 outs has to be the plan at this point, but beyond that, I think it's Woody, Box, Cousins.
