MLB 2022 Miscellaneous News

The Field of Dreams game is tonight.  I also just realized NFL starts tonight, I don't watch espn so wasn't aware until now.  Made me think if it would've made sense for the FoD game to be done a week or so back to get as much exposure of it as possible back when there was nothing else going on. As I would assume most people will watch football and almost all media tonight/tomorrow will obsess over what it means that the 5th rd rookie D lineman football player had two bowel movements on a football gameday and if that means he has the proper mindset to play football on a football field in the National Football League.

Yea I get it, its just a regular season game and it's two bad teams but it's a rare opportunity to market the game and when mlb is actually doing something fun.

When they have two teams play on a field surrounded by a chain link fence and the players sit on football benches, then I'll be interested. This whole thing is so fake.

Oof. Trying to come back from the injury quicker?

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Machado is a jerk and Tatis is just a piñata head. What's next? Soto double dating with Trevor Bauer?

Tatis is moron !  With this suspension over lapping is he eligible for the play offs next year ?

Yes he will be.  The playoff eligibility is only for the season they violated the PED rules in.

In case it needs to be said, I am once again very, very glad that the Brewers acquired Yelich and not Ozuna when the Marlins had their fire sale.

Only $18mil a year to go for the next two years for the Braves. Yikes

If you want to be even more glad, look who the Cardinals traded to the Marlins for Ozuna.

Hey, how about some happy baseball news?

That has to be really rare getting your first hit and last hit as a home run on the same team.
