I’ll be there. Not expecting a lot to cheer about but will be pleasantly surprised if there is. I alone know 40-50 people going to this game to cheer on the Crew. Should be a home away from home!

The moveable object meets the stoppable force: the back end of the Brewers rotation versus the Twins bullpen.

May the least incompetent group win. ?

The real stoppable force is the Brewers offense which tends to make otherwise leaky bullpens look good, as evidenced by the latest home stand. As one example, Hendricks left the game after a couple of innings and the Brewers did nothing the rest of the game except for a consolation run in the ninth after the game was out of reach.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Don't underestimate the Twins bullpen. Seriously, it has been comically bad, though with the rest they've received lately, the Twins might get away with only using a few of the guys, which protects them a bit.

But if Winder makes a short start - which he very well might - expect to see several innings of the VERY soft underbelly of that bullpen, which hasn't been bad lately, it has been straight-up atrocious.

That really will be a test then. Because the Cubs and Pirates supposedly have terrible bullpens too.

The Twins should be able to put up some runs against the Brewers 6th and 7th starters.

Is Winder a guy the Brewers might be able to get some runs off of?

Hard to say. He has looked good but he lacks a reliable third pitch. His fastball is decent but not good/great. Ultimately, I think he ends up a reliever, where he could shine by leaning more heavily on his very good breaking ball.

But his track record is so short right now that while he has somewhat impressed me, my trust in his long-term efficacy as a starter isn't there yet.

So...you gents who do both Twins Daily and Brewer Fanatic must be ? at this point.  ?

It's pretty fun for me, as I get to sit back and just enjoy the games. I'd prefer no sweep in either direction, though, as that will significantly hurt one of the first place teams, neither of which has a large enough lead to start giving away multiple games in a row.

But the Twins can *probably* weather a sweep better, as the rest of their division appears to be wildly incompetent, though I'm still betting that the White Sox make a run at some point this season.

Wait, I just realized tomorrow is a day game. I'm going to put one of my girls in a Twins shirt, the other in a Brewers shirt.

Whoever loses is thrown in the pool after the game.

I think I can convince them this is a *great* plan provided ice cream is involved.

My brother used to have a Chinchilla which was named Chi-Chi.

I keep wanting to say "Chi-Chi Chinchilla" when I see González.

Questions are a burden.   And answers a prison for one's self.

It was probably just a matter of time until Yelich would have back problems.

Looking at the Twins lineup and measuring it by OPS+ they really put the Brewers to shame in that department. They have like 5 guys equal to or better than the Brewers have in their starting lineup and some of those are better by a wide margin.

Good thing the Brewers have one of their best starters on the mound tonight to keep them in check. (Don’t know how to put things in blue on my iPad.

Renfroe in center?

Yikes.

Not any more. With Yelich out it’s Davis in center. That’s a yikes of a different type.

With Taylor experiencing a setback and Yelich now going out with back issues, Stearns might not be able to wait until the deadline to get an outfielder.

But they're only .04 ahead in runs per game. And I thought we shouldn't be comparing our offense to AL teams...

Alexander is going to give up some baserunners like he always does. Hope he can just limit the damage and avoid the blowup inning unlike his last start. Counsell has to be careful about leaving him in too long.
