Regular Sudafed has pseudoephedrine, which is amazing (and it's the stuff you have to show an ID to get and is behind the counter or locked up, because of meth).  It's the stuff that has phenylephrine doesn't work.

And this is the stuff I purchased yesterday.  I head out on vacation Saturday and this stuff has two days to kick in.  Never let me down before.

The only thing I use Benadryl for is a sleeping aid.  About an hour after taking one of those and I am out.

It's the diphenhydramine in it. You can save money by buying generic allergy pills, or what I do, buy bulk diphenhydramine pills on Amazon. I take a lot of sleeping pills each night.

Where is the line between a child having a great imagination and just being a liar? When my 3 year old tells you about something that happened or something he did he starts out correctly recalling things but eventually he starts adding things that are in no way true. Not even like over the top crazy things like he saw a dragon or became invisible but will start saying there were people there that weren't and couldn't have been there or like the time he was telling us about all the animals he saw outside at school and included a zebra. He was dead serious that he saw a zebra and would not listen to us when we said there probably wasn't a zebra.

It is probably a bit of a phase s/he is going through.  If it is in regards to random stories, it is probably harmless. If it is in regards to a real "lie" (i.e. intent to deceive for a specific gain), you probably need some correction at that point.

A few years ago, I had to practically beg to get food trucks to show up at our business. I was blown off and almost laughed at by so many.

Fast forward, we have 13 trucks on our busiest days. Now, the same ones that blew me off are begging to be here, oops.

We got a piece of mail from the Immortalist Society addressed to the person that used to live on our property.  Do I contact them to let them know he died at least 4 years ago?

Write RTS Deceased  on the envelope then put it back in the mailbox

You should contact them to let them know the former resident wants their money back.

We still occasionally get mail for the people who sold us our house, who haven't lived here since 2005.  (Maybe that's why they aren't supporting the causes who reach out to them anymore.)

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

That was pretty cool.  I may have to save that to watch every opening day.

We actually just had the same thing happen to us. It wasn't the previous owners...but the one's before them, so 2005 at the latest. I ended up Googling them to see if I could find them, which it seems they were nearby. Then I used public property tax records to nearly confirm it, only 15 minutes away. I wrote the address on the envelope and put it back in the mailbox, as I didn't want to drive a half hour. Though it would have been interesting to just personally deliver the letter.

The one thing I noticed in our public record is our house sold for twice within a year? And the second time was for about $30k. Can anyone with a real estate background provide a possible explanation? See below:Screenshot_20231004-073656.png.cfda80e881903bc101f6a3ac236d67ac.png

That's the best advertising MLB could have ever gotten for itself. Though I can't help but think how disconcerting it would be to discover everything you were saying to your buddy was being recorded.

You know those trendy lights you can put on your house that you keep up all year for every holiday?

Yah…those things look dumb and look like the cheap corny junk they are. It looks even worse when the neighbors decide it is a good idea too.

Sorry to anyone who has them.

It's still pretty cheap to eat at home but sit down restaurants have gotten crazy expensive when you consider tips. My gf and I ate breakfast at I-hop and it was $40 with tip with eating things on their "specials" list.

I have been eating at home more often which is probably a lot better for my health anyways.

You're right. I like to go out for lunch on occasion but I've been a little insulated from this because while I'm retired, my wife is still working so we're talking $14-20 for just myself.

Haven't been to IHOP in quite awhile. That's an awfully steep number for breakfast.

I generally eat out once per week at lunch.  The fast food places are crazy.  But there is a little Thai place that seems to have held their ground.  A curry lunch special (which is way more food than a FF joint) still runs $10.
