Are these announcers the normal Cubs announcers?  My God, they are just horrible.  Unbearable, just terrible.

I was wondering the same thing, they sounded so uninterested

Also, did anyone think Junk's fastball looks like it's begging to be melted into orbit?

At Brewers-Reds. Brosseau/Anderson/Voit at the top of the lineup is less than I had hoped for, but it’s 2-0 already!

Daniel Norris sighting for Cincinnati. After his Brewer career, strange to see him in another team’s uniform.

8th inning, 7-0 Brewers, 19 hits to 2. Burnes was great. Brice Turang can be rearranged to spell “granite curb.” That is all.

Favorite overheard comment from a Reds fan: “We are going to Cincinnati in October, and hope we can catch a game.”

Should reschedule their trip for late-September for the Reds vs. Pirates series. Bring cleats and a mitt. Might even get into a game.

Lauer's disastrous spring training has continued today. Another day where he was pulled in the 1st because pitch count was getting too high.

Hopefully he's not stuck in one of those chaos cycles where he's doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Is he usually a slow starter? Man he has looked bad……

His ERA the last 2 spring training's were 14.4 and 10.8. It is at 11.7 this year.

Cousins needs to figure out things in triple a…….

Yep. Frustrating because he was a guy you really thought could take the next step. Hopefully, he does just that and figures it out in AAA.

Spring training means so little, but I am starting to get nervous about the pen other than Devin. Oh well, at least Winker is starting to heat up...

Other than Bush, I am not that concerned. Cousins wasn't going to be on the MLB team either way so him struggling isn't problematic.

I would say I am moderately worried on relievers lije Cousins. He still has a week are so to get it sorted however, if a late inning reliever stink it could cost us a couple games which is huge. Granted Counsil could just use him in low leverage situations early and ease into it.

Lauer slow start doesn't worry me much either. Still a few starts to get it fine tuned.

Has anyone gotten to watch Tyson Miller pitch and have a reason for his strong spring. I didn't think he had a prayer to make the team and now maybe he does.

The brewers pen is their weak link

I'd say their pen is the biggest Wildcard on the team. Guys like Strezlecki, Cousins, Bush, Guerra, Ashby, and even into Uribe & Cam Robinson all have nasty stuff but are all unproven to different extents. Every guy I listed I think has the potential to be a very good late inning arm but they could all bust into nothing too so the question is how many of those guys become reliable pitchers

Power starting to come along now for Winker. Hope Counsell continues to hit him in the two slot after Yelich against RHP. He fits there so much better than Willy.

Yeah I like Winker in the 2 hole. Put Adames 3rd, Tellez 4th, Contreras 5th
