We never learn. Brewers always think they are going to pick up a replacement level guy and he's going to catch fire and lead them. The one time they went and got a star in Sabathia he did what stars do. Why would they do that again?

Because they still got bounced from the playoffs in the divisional round and it cost them a future career .298 hitter with >1,600 career hits and only 656 K's in over 6,000 career plate appearances.

His tag up… wow.

Special play. He's that kind of an athlete. So happy to see him experience some success at the MLB level.

“What’s bothering you?”

”My face hurts, Doc.”

”Put some ice on it.”

”But that’s how it got hurt in the first place?!?!?”

”Apply the ice at a lower velocity this time.”

I always find it funny whenever a fan suggests it’s “stupid” to have a guy on the active roster and then he goes out and wins the game that night……..even when it’s me who suggested it!

Way to go Blake Perkins!

As painful as that was I still had no problem making that trade considering how long the playoff drought had been.

Yep, me too. I also would've had Perkins in Nashville. Not only the speed, but the overall baserunning abilities he's shown (outside of the hiccups when he had his pickoff-itis last month) has been a difference maker.

It's also funny to see how quickly some clear out of the thread when the team finds a way to win despite a lackluster offensive performance. It's as if the late heroics were akin to someone setting off a cyber stinkbomb.😄

Frelick a platoon guy already? Didn't he homer against a lefty? Just play the best players. It's not hard.

Just imagine how successful the Brewers would've been the last 7 years with a good manager.

This is why I stay off Twitter or Game Threads.

It's the perfect breeding ground for negativity.

But... According to a recent  detailed statistical microanalysis, Adames is about to break out of his slump and will have an OPS of 932... In December.

I actually thought he had some good AB's tonight.. nearly walked off, a rocket liner to left field for an out and a single. It's just not quite falling for him, but he'll get there (I hope 😅)

Good! Maybe he really will start getting some luck for his efforts.
