Nice afternoon baseball action with the Brewers inching closer to the doorstep of a division title, with the conclusion of the Cubs/Pirates series coming up tonight. This is what September baseball is all about. The Brewers getting incredibly hot in September is definitely a trend that I'm here for.

Mikolas fastballs have been getting completely crushed this year. Let's hope that continues!

None of his pitches have been particularly successful, but he's a horse with a good day in him. Sure would be nice to keep the momentum going

Nice article on Josh Donaldson.

“Ever since he’s been here, you could feel his presence,” said Brewers outfielder Tyrone Taylor, who added two home runs of his own including a solo shot in a rainy, four-run ninth. “He was the MVP of the league, you know? He’s been mashing for us now. I was doing cage work today, just listening to him talk about his approach and about life really.  It’s cool to be around him.”

“The ‘Bringer Of Rain,’ that’s how you describe it,” Brewers starter Adrian Houser said, referring to Donaldson’s nickname. “And it rained on us tonight.”

The numbers are rather jarring. Of Donaldson’s 22 hits this season, 12 are home runs. With the Brewers, he has homered twice in his first nine games with the Brewers -- both times for the lead on the way to a victory.

The tellez/turang combo usually means runs are hard to come by

and where the heck is yelich

Getting better to the point where he's working out on the field but they're going to be careful and make sure he's 100% or close with the division all but wrapped up.

His back again,

Yelich (back) remains out of the lineup Thursday versus the Cardinals.

Yelich has appeared in only one game since Sept. 8 due to lingering back discomfort, but the NL Central-leading Brewers are refraining from placing him on the 10-day injured list with only 10 games left in the regular season. Mark Canha, Blake Perkins and Sal Frelick will start across the outfield Thursday in St. Louis.

I know, we are facing a righty, but Tyrone has just been so hot as of late.  Not sure it's the best plan to sit him when we are throwing out this line-up.  I guess he did hit two homers yesterday, so a trip to the bench was coming anyway.  :)

Nice job Rowdy. Nice job.

I was actually impressed that he slowed his bat down and made contact on a 2 strike low offspeed pitch....
