Are you Devin Williams?

Availability "in question". He's out, I mean he missed, what, 4 months with the same injury? He's out. This is such crap.

Did we bring him back too soon? We didn't need him to win the division.

This is absolutely devastating. Pretty much totally ruins the Brewers shot at making a deep playoff run. With such awful news like this hitting the team right before the playoffs, it wouldn't shock me if we lost in the WC round.

Sickening.  I feel terrible for him.

On the plus side…contract offer?

Would need to be an insanely team friendly contract. Woodruff turns 31 this offseason and has now injured his pitching shoulder 2 times during one season.

I'll choose to take the optimistic route and say Brewers in 2. Burnes vs. Pfaadt is pretty self-evident. And then Peralta has pitched way better than Gallen in the 2nd half. Brewers offense explodes.

We may win this Wild Card round still, but I wouldn't be surprised to see this team come out flat and get swept after this news. Absolutely devastating.

Being a Brewers fan is just this on a loop:

I’m assuming the players likely had some knowledge this was a possibility, so hopefully they don’t come out flat.

That GIF is exactly how I feel with the news… it’s like Ben Sheets not being available to pair with CC all over again.

Why this was unexpected for me to hear I have no idea.  It always happens.

Will need all of good Freddy, dependable Wade, and increased roles from Houser and Wilson to compensate.  Rea probably making the roster in an "innings eater if losing" role.

It'll be more difficult, but the Brewers still have the best bullpen in baseball they can lean on. Woody's been key for sure, but, in reality, it's been the entire pitching staff. This is where you back away and let CC eat.

Houser is not making this roster after going 5 innings yesterday.

I'm in the words of Junior Spivey, "devastated."

Also find it a bit ironic that the thumbnail for the MLB article is him in the "inverted W" arm shape...
