WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT????!!!!!!

By the way, I need to...

... get up and get something...

...from the fridge right in the middle of this message.  I can't wait until I'm done with the message.  I don't care if other people want to read...

... one continuous message.

FYI -- this is a short rant about people who get up in the middle of in inning over and over and over and over.  I'm here to watch the game, not to watch you stumble and not try to spill your beer or nachos.

Yeah.  When a section is full and you aren't sitting on the aisle, don't move until between innings.  If you are returning from the restroom or concessions wait at the top in the concourse until the inning ends.

They really need to put this message on the big screen, and Ushers need to enforce holding people at the top until the inning ends.

Looking forward to being at the game tonight.

But I pray that we aren't near any "baseball experts" who feel the need to explain the game in a raised voice so everyone can hear within about a 25 foot radius.

I won't be there, you're safe.

If he starts his swing now, he might get the bat through the zone by the time he's put into the game.

Hahaha. A few weeks ago I was at an Angels-Mariners game where Brett Phillips was facing Andres Muñoz in a high leverage situation. I think it ended up being like an 8 or 9 pitch at-bat that was all 101 mph fastballs. Phillips knew what was coming and still didn't come close to squaring one up.

The Rays are on the verge of becoming the latest home team to lose a WC series.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Now I’m sad because we don’t have Brett Phillips to run out there in a critical pinch hit scenario instead of Winker, thanks a lot!

I was at the game last night. I was so bummed, that my morning ritual of Brewerfan with my coffee didn't happen. Couldn't bear to read last night's game thread, couldn't make myself log on this morning.

Been tough to shake that. Fortunately I have a ton to do, because I left work early yesterday.

After everything in the game went wrong, it took us longer to get to the interstate from preferred parking (1 hour 10 min) than it did to drive back to Madison (1 hour 5). Everything about last night sucked.

There were some comments last night that there were a lot of empty seats at AFF and that the crowd enthusiasm was low.

Looking at prices on Stub Hub it looks like the crowd will be smaller tonight.

I wonder how many tickets to these games were sold to people (both fans and brokers) anticipating the Cubs being in this series

99 game winner.  They’re going out losing two straight at home.  The wildcard format really is something.

Sure there were empty seats, but it was a good crowd. I hesitated to buy tickets because I could not have gone to a day game. And the crowd was plenty loud, until about the 345th man left on base. It's remarkable how quickly that game turned. 3-0, Perdomo singles, and four pitches later the game is tied. Then, the middle innings were such a slog. 2 hours in, only in the top of the fifth. It was hard to keep the energy up.

Watching this Rays game is raising my fears about what might happen tonight. After a terrible first game, the Rays fell behind early and are going down meekly.

That could easily be the Brewers tonight if the DBacks jump ahead and Gallen displays the same mastery over the Brewers that he did in his two starts this season.

I don't mind this playoff format because it gives a big advantage to the top 2 teams in each league but it really accentuates that the playoffs are a random crapshoot. Unfortunately because of all this artificial drama it creates it won't be changed anytime soon.

At least the Brewers crowd is not embarrassing like the Rays. They had 19,000 yesterday and today when some fans started booing the announcer said that some in the “group” were booing because you couldn’t call it a crowd.

Expected the same 9 as yesterday, since Peralta has induced a relatively high percentage of ground balls this year, but I’d hoped we’d move Taylor up in the order. Oh well. Let’s WIN!!

Mark Canha last 2 weeks of the regular season after getting a mid-September cortisone shot to relieve pain from an ailing left wrist to avoid the IL:

0.529 OPS  with a 0.180 average and 0.256 slugging

Sure, let's stick with him at cleanup in a do or die game after his o-fer night there last night🤬

THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY was to have Winker up the last five games to actually see if he could actually hit MLB pitching after a long time away.  He could have played everyday!!!   It is also crazy that he is even on the team considering how horrible he has been hitting primarily second (unreal) half of the year.  Obviously, this is a manager's gut decision because it is not practical or logical based on how he has hit all year.  And I feel for a better options like Huira, Black, Rob Deer, Yuni, etc...

He wasn't going to play everyday over the last five games, as long as Santana & Tellez were both getting ABs. Either he or Tellez was going to have to get ABs in N'ville, and Winker was already there.

The theories as to why Black isn't here have been discussed---40-man, arby clock, etc. The other guy is a dead horse with 12 broken ribs, four broken legs, a crushed skull & a distended bladder from being beaten over the last year-plus.

I'd like Taylor moved up a spot or two. Part of the reason is, in a situation that calls for a bunt Turang can be pretty effective. You have two folks following him who I'd like to have up w/RISP if he hits 9th. I think CC is sticking with his L-R-L-R-L thing though, which makes little sense at the bottom of the order since at the appropriate time you'd hit for Turang anyway.

Flip 'em!!!!

Toro must have no glove because Owen Miller being here instead of him is crazy. Dude seems like he's a bat that could help especially if you are putting auto outs like Turang in there.

I had two takeaways from last year:

1. The road teams outperformed the home teams in the wild card round.

2. The wild card round winners had the advantage in the division series because of the momentum they carried over from winning a playoff series.

This year is shaping up to be a little different but we know at least one lower seed is advancing already.
