that's a lot of money

Great for Ohtani but no fan base deserves it less than the dodgers. Honestly wanted him to go to Toronto. I’m reminded of that money ball quote, “there’s rich teams..”

Andrew Friedman doesn't do a lot of stupid deals. But this is one of them.

If they win a few World Series because of it, then it’s not

Supposedly there are unprecedented deferrals in Ohtani's contract. Robert Murray's tweet says the majority of his salary.

The Dodgers are going to be celebrating “Shohei Ohtani day” in 2050.

If this becomes the bar for superstars, I’m glad we locked in some of Chourio’s FA years when we did.

Deferrals help from a cash flow perspective, but it’s still a $70M yearly hit towards their CBT number.

Dodgers are 1-7 in their last 8 playoff games, guess they needed to do something desperate.

This isn't really a stupid contract if the estimated revenue he generates off the field for the team are correct. (Upwards of $70 M a year)
