Is Chenal particularly bad spying a QB or has Lamar broken his ankles a couple times?

I am a little nervous the Packers might get jumpy about LB and take their favorite at #25 as they would be worried about a run on them before #41. They are probably not the only team with a need there and Cooper, Wilson, and Colson are all on that second plateau of late 1st-2nd round players. That would be the pick that makes me groan at #25.

My extremely uneducated prediction is if DeJean is available when the Packers pick at 25 comes up, they don't take him. It feels like Gute goes counter to predictions when things happen for real. It's not even like DeJean is the clear cut favorite or anything either, there's so many ways they could go. But that's just my feeling.

LOL...missed that one. Still love the guy as a player. He's one of a handful of Badgers I've actually really hoped would end up here, but I can imagine he's not exactly at his best in space vs a guy like Daniels.

Speaking of UW guys, thoughts on Guerrendo or Bortolini? I was really unimpressed with the prior in Wisconsin and going back watching Bortolini, he needs a lot of work on the QB exchange, but he was a little better than I remembered. 169 would be a solid range.

Lol I love how when Goodell got to the mic and got booed he said, "C'mon!" He was so annoyed. Funny stuff.

Colson would make me really cringe. I like Colson, he's a smart backer. He's savvy slipping blocks, but for all the talk about how Cooper is a Will, I don't see Colson as more of a MLB. I also like Wilson. Tough kid, but a little older, knee injuries. I'd feel about the same with Cooper as I did with Quay. It wouldn't be my favorite pick, but I think Hafley will take advantage of our LBers athletic ability.

I also think the edge from Mizzou, Darius Robinson is a very real possibility at #25. More likely I think we move either up 4-6 spots or down, but if we stay put, I think it'll be a pick most fans find a little boring.

I'll come around either way. The talent of this team with 5 top 91 picks? Could this draft feel more different from last years?

Yeah, I can't remember not eventually coming around to loving a Packer first round pick in a day or 2. Maybe Jamal Reynolds but I was also mad about the Hasslebeck trade so that may fog my memory. I even though Justin Harrel would shock all the nay sayers.

Not a fan of the style of the hat they are being given.

Remember what Yoda said:

Chargers lose all their WRs and they take a tackle?

Lot of talk that Nabers was just as good as Harrison maybe was just talk?

It'll be interesting where McCarthy goes. I suspect (granted, what the heck do I know?) a lot of the hype was pushed by mock draftsmen wanting to stir talk.

Was it just me or did it seem like Malik Nabers was high?

I could not agree more. I was on the Harrel bandwagon...after we made the pick. It's really kinda silly not to. All the mock and guessing is fun, but the Packers are so well run, Gute and their scouting is exceptional, it's really pointless(and a little arrogant) to get disappointed about a prospect.

Even the Jordan Love pick...I half heartedly predicted it and then felt disappointed for a bit, then just excited about the future. I hoped we'd get lucky enough to find another franchise QB...and now we're watching the Packers draft as a team with legitimate SB aspirations.

That's literally just how he is. That man lives on a different level of presence. Electric in real time - on or off the field.

Top of draft falling like you would have expected 3 months ago, talking heads always talking themselves into other guys moving up. Both Giants and Vikings wanted Drake Maye apparently and are not as high on McCarthy .

I've had that thought but it doesn't bother me. If nobody else sticks out and they think they really need a LB, I don't mind a bit of a reach to get the guy you want. I keep seeing Cooper as the #1 guy for the position, but never know how individual teams evaluate.

I don't think so, I think the Nabers talk is legit. But the Chargers now have an elite OT combo with Alt and Slater.

That's a team that needs to build from inside out. They've always had this flashy talent, but they rarely seem to have the OL/DL you need.

Alt was by far my favorite prospect in this class. I think they made the right move...

That said, best case scenario is Brian Thomas falls to #25 and the Chargers are desperate to replace Williams/Allen and trade up and give up a future 1st? We probably have to send a 3rd back or whatever, but it'd be well worth it.

Wow that is a stunner, I thought the Raiders would take Penix at 13. Does anyone want McCarthy enough to move up?

I don’t believe so.

I like Pennix Jr. quite a lot. At 8? After I just signed Kirk Cousins to big money? Ummmmm, no. Just not into that use of capital.

I mean I get Penix's deep-ball ability fits well with Atlanta's WRs, but does Cousins have some kind of an out in his contract or something? Do they expect a guy drafted that high to sit that long? Do they think Cousins is tradeable after this season or something?
