Crazy hot take. He is easily a Top 15 QB if he had a decent line. His line isn’t just bad…it’s VERY VERY bad. That isn’t going to make any QB look good, let alone an older less mobile one.

Really? He threw three interceptions and none of them had to do with poor pass protection. He also missed wide open receivers several times, including one that preceded his game ending interception. The offense has been mediocre at best this year and it starts with the quarterback. I stand by my hot take and if he still is top 15, he certainly is not top 10.

It was such a winnable game for the Jets, too. Darnold looked like the second-half version of himself from last week, Jones had the first of his several inevitable injuries. Rodgers just has to be decent and they pull that out. This is why he had to go, these were the games he started to lose in Green Bay by the end that were almost inexplicable.

I still think he can be a successful QB in this league for another year or two, but he’s not Superman. The cast means more to him than ever, and he’s got to be on his game more than ever. The days of getting his B- effort and still making it look easy are long gone. Time comes for us all.

The Bears got some type of fire.

I am a Bears fan but this is a game against the Panthers.  This is like the Bears playing a game against a CFL team.  The Panthers are the absolute worst team in the NFL and there really isn't any competition for them either.  I have no idea how they beat the Raiders as that shouldn't have happened.

Yeah, that's not what I'm talking about :)

This is Browns erasure!

The Browns are not even close to being as bad as the Panthers are.

The Cardinals were down 10 to SF in the 2nd half. They scored a TD early in the 4th quarter to go down 4 (23 - 19). They chose to go for 2 and succeeded (23 - 21). This ultimately allowed them to win on a late field goal (24 - 23).

It just feels weird GB is 3-2. It feels more like 1-4. Probably because of how meh Love has looked at times. I don't think the sky is falling, they just have appeared so mediocre it's hard to remember they are above .500.

I'm pretty surprised that the jets fired saleh.

Another Jets struggle to begin their season. A-Rod very much looking like a 40 year old HOF QB. Moments of brilliance but wildly inconsistent to poor at times. You don't say he threw a bad pick in the clutch? Regardless, GM Joe Douglas is the real story here. The man continues to surf with little to no repercussions. Amazing.

I'm not....I called it a month ago in this thread.  So far only partly right since I'm assuming their GM is also headed out the door before the year ends, too.  Surprised Saleh is gone so quickly, and it's likely a way for the GM to try and save his own bacon.

I find it funny that Allen Lazard (the one that was benched w/o Rodgers last year) almost has as many yards as Wilson. Rodgers just can't get to know other WRs very well.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Hm....so he ended up with a concussion, just like the Panthers Tight End who fumbled on the helmet-to-helmet collision during Sunday's game.  Wonder if those two are related?

(Still can't believe the play wasn't flagged, and can only hope the NFL issues a fine later this week.  It was that bad.)

I liked Brisker coming out of college, but I'm relatively glad the Packers didn't get him, especially since the need at the position brought in McKinney as well as the drafting of Bullard and Williams.

I'm not, but it's a stupid firing. He's a defensive coach whose defense was the strength of the team while the offense falls flat on its face, Then the team promotes another defensive coach as interim head coach. Such a Jets thing to do.

Usually when this happens it's because the owner saw an opening for a dream candidate. I am fairly surprised.

Maybe Belichick called. Half kidding as I don't think he'd want that one,

He didn't want it 25 years ago for the same reason. Tells you a lot about the Jets organization.

They rebuilt that line and they did pretty damn good job. I know Fashanu had a bad game, but that's the right side, that's on Rodgers to set up the protection. It's his offense. He's basically running the Jets at this point.

I'm not saying PFF Grades are perfect, by ANY means, but the most reliable they are, is the pass pro. They grade out pretty good until you get to RT and that's Morgan Mosses(basically Billy Turner) and last week their top 10 pick, Fashanu played and was bad). So you use a TE to chip or a RB, or you get the ball out quickly and let the WRs run after the catch.

Rodgers just doesn't seem like he's processing as fast to me or getting rid of the ball as quickly and like he's getting real frustrated.

That offense SHOULD be talented enough to win. Rodgers has done much more in the past with much less.

I agree, he's still top 15, but I think it's likely it's going to take him a while to get acclimated to all the players around him.

WE all know how...stubborn he can be.

I guess the people who don't think he's top 15, are you taking Aaron Rodgers or Sam Darnold right NOW. Or is this more of a power-ranking type thing.

I wish they could have done this in the off-season! Easiest decision of all-time, Robert Saleh, DC. Make him the highest paid, he coaches here for a year or two, gets another gig and you get 2 3rds for privilege.

I don't know what Rodgers issue with Saleh is, but...this is the Jets being the Jets.

Yup. He didn't like the leadership(basically) of Dolan and Woody Johnson. And what has happened since then? Rex Ryan came in with an elite defense, a bunch of 1st rd picks on the OL and Mark Sanchez got them to a couple AFCCGs and that's pretty much it.

I like Hafley...I think. I can't imagine it's his fault that this front isn't getting pressure, but what a ballsy and wildly unrealistic move would it be to replace Hafley with Saleh?

He'll get another HC'ing job or he'll go back to SF though. I'd love to see him as a...special assistant or something.
