I don’t believe it’s been officially announced yet but that was the speculation from Brewers reporters yesterday.

That's a good question, done deal he will make his debut but could be an opener.

I assumed it was in place of the Peralta suspension?

Players must serve suspensions on the active roster.

Gasser will most likely replace Herget

I'd be surprised to see Gasser replace Herget. If that was the plan I think Herget would have pitched the last 2 innings yesterday instead of Vieira. Koenig, Milner, Vieira, and Hudson are all probably unavailable today. If you option Herget then your only fresh bullpen arms are Peguero, Megill, and Payamps. If I had to bet we see a Koenig option, Vieira DFA/IL stint, or Myers option.

I predict that Gasser’s debut will rank between Ashby and Peralta.

If only the cards were trotting out washed Arrieta today.  That Ashby debut was a horrible debut but what a game.

Looks like Myers option is it. Gasser and Junk to MLB. Myers to AAA. Payamps to Bereavement list. Bukauskas to 60-day IL to open 40-man spot for Gasser.

Remind me … What is Bukauskas’s injury?

I really like him.

Where is the GM? What is happening? Is Chourio hurt?? If not why is he sitting every day watching minor league veteran Jake Bauers? Nobody coming to the game tonight to see Jake Bauers. This organization gives a kid an 8 year contract only to say after 25 games your out. Come on.

It's times like these that make me sad that Vieira has no options remaining.

After the early work he did, I really miss Bukauskas.

Chourio has 113 AB, sixth most in the team. He has been modestly below replacement level, so far.

Bauers, on the other hand, is now modestly above replacement level – thanks to last night’s homerun.

it might be OK to give Jackson a little bit more of a rest.

What does he need rest for?

Kid needs to play, if not with the Brewers, then with Nashville.

He needs at bats, this is getting ridiculous.

Maybe they are having him make some swing tweaks or something along those lines. Also he's on pace for 530 PA still which is 40 fewer than last year. It's not like he's Joey Wiemer and getting 30 PA a month.

Ok, so you think that what they are doing with him is ok?  Do you really think that having him ride the bench is the best thing for him and the team?  I don't care what his pace is for PA, he is rotting on the bench when he should be playing.  You are fine with that?

I sometimes think that people just tow that company line no matter what, and only look for excuses when it comes to this team.

Chourio needs to be getting at bats someplace, not riding the bench.

Hopefully, they are starting to figure out that Ortiz needs to play, now if they can just figure out a plan for Chourio.

He's 6th on the team in PA. The hyperbole in your comment is completely overboard. Rather than immediately go to Brewers are horribly run/Brewers FO sucks maybe just take a step back. Chourio has been terrible this year. It's incredibly plausible that there's a reason for him not playing 2 days games in a row that isn't the Brewers are incompetent.

Where did I say that the Brewers are horribly run/Brewers front office sucks?  Where did I say the Brewers are incompetent?

Speaking of Hyperbole?

Please.

He's had 16 total at bats in the last 9 games.  All I am asking is, what is the plan with Jackson Chourio?  What is he getting by riding the bench?

We obviously disagree, so there is no need for further comment on my part.
