Even though Chourio has had a great June with OPS over 900 I would have to think Myers gets Pitcher and Rookie of the Month if he wins today.

MM will be MM-good!

RS will be ReallyStinky!

Is this understood?

Cubs are on the blinky!

Jed Hoyer said to media yesterday on Cubs bad stretch. “It's felt sort of like, two weeks turned into four, turned into six, has turned into eight, that's the reality, right?”

Did he mention at all what the eight weeks will turn into?

Keeping my fingers crossed about how Yelich looks at the plate today vs a pretty good LH. I thought he had three really bad ABs yesterday.

If the middle of the order has more struggles I suspect there will be some call for Chourio to move up in the order. I hope Adames & Hoskins get things going & they leave Chourio where he is. Sometimes there's a mental dynamic at work where if a youngster moves up he feels he needs to do more. His plate discipline has gotten much better & I hope they leave well enough alone---for now.

Contreras might want to start hitting the ball again

Because he hasn’t been wanting to?  I saw him put the centerfielder on the warning track early in the game last night.  He is fine!

Contreras (thru May 15)
196 PA of 359/434/553

Contreras (since May 17)
160 PA of 211/250/309

Brewers (thru May 15)
26 W - 17 L (.605 W%)

Brewers (since May 17)
23 W - 16 L (.590 W%)

Really speaks to the depth of the team/organization that they’ve able to play at a 95-96 win pace with their “best” player hitting like their worst.

It was only hit110 mph!

He needs to hit a grounder that finds a hole! 😎

He did hit the ball hard that one time yesterday and he also had a sharp flyout to LF, but he hasn’t exactly been fine. Or at least he doesn’t seem to think so.

One of my daughters posted some thing yesterday that she got from X about the Brewers sweep over the Rangers. Contreras had a comment to the effect of “ I didn’t do SH*T but keep it up boys“.

The Cardinals are getting spanked by the Reds today … 8-1 in the 6th inning 👏

It might be 8-1 after the first inning here.
