With the weird travel we have it would be nice to win this game.  St. Louis to Oakland and then back home for a series and then back on the road again?

Sure would like to see Ortiz creep up in that lineup, maybe switch him out for Frelick to start...

Yeah, I hear ya. But getting on in front of Chourio and Contreras might be worth it at #9.

Gary needs to be in the lineup everyday in the postseason.

Is be fine with Sanchez and Perkins getting a ton of at bats

Since Sanchez came back off the IL on 0724 he’s got 49 PA of 325/429/475 (154 wRC+) and that doesn’t include today’s bomb.

VIVA EL GARY.

We need power. He's got it in spades.

I'm not liking the way Chourio is getting beat up lately.

I was kinda surprised to see him in the lineup as he was gimpy for a while after fouling a ball off his leg yesterday. He's played in most consecutive games of his career and today would have been a nice spot to give him a day off with Perkins back and the off day tomorrow.

Montas at 97/98 early on, he could really be huge for us if he can live there. Good lord is our pitching coaching staff amazing,

Our announcers tell us the staff asked Montas, who is normally a strike out pitcher, to pitch to contact. That makes a lot of sense to me. Yes, he might give up few more hits, but our defense is outstanding, and walks have a way of killing us.

Casual nine up nine down for Montas, pumping gas.

Wiemer hitting 146/255/146 (14 wRC+) for Louisville.

Junis with a 5.84 ERA in a dozen mop up innings for the Reds.
