Not sure if this was discussed before, but would it be terrible manners for whoever wins game one toforfeit game two? This would keep both the Mets and the Braves a little bit more fresh, but absolutely be terrible sportsmanship for Arizona.

MLB would never allow it.

6 run 8th by the Mets. Now let's see a Braves comeback, Mets use up some leverage RPs and end up having to play for the win in game 2.

I want to see the winner of the first game of Monday's doubleheader have the raucous champagne celebration, then come out for Game 2 intoxicated.

I've been watching the Mets feed for today's game. They mentioned that MLB said no team can celebrate until after the 2nd game. So you could have both the losing and winning teams celebrate at the end of the day.

Come on, Braves. Tie game 1 back up.

League wouldn't allow it.

We're not to the 9th inning in game 1 and both closers have a blown save.

Best day ever for Brewers and Padres fans.

Well, its shaping up that way.    As long as the Mets don't somehow blow game 2 vs a team not even trying.  If there's ever a Mets thing to do, its that

ETA: realized you might've posted that when NYM was still ahead so a bit different

Maybe throwing Diaz up 5-0 yesterday was a mistake haha. Asking a guy to get a 5 out save the day after throwing 26 pitches is insane!

Man, this is going to be a massive gut punch to whichever fanbase loses this game.

True but it doesn’t matter if they win the next game
