Aaron Rodgers is on the Jets!

Adrian Houser is on the Mets!

If the Brewers had the Mets payroll, there would be lots of debts!

Let's get the Mets!

On the Brewers are all my bets!

Pretty sure Houser is pitching in Baltimore's minor league system now.

For all you devout followers of playoff % chance calculations.    Minnesota was 95% on 9/5 to make playoffs.    Detroit was something like 0.2% around the end of August I believe.

Just going to copy and paste a link to @brewerfan82's post when your fellow doomer BruisedCrew tried to make this same point a week or so ago.

The good thing is Minnesota can always put up a playoff % chance banner this year.

It's funny to me because we all know that if the Brewers were on the outside looking in with a low probability to make the playoffs that you and Bruised would absolutely not be saying "well the Brewers still have a chance".

I mean we saw it first hand with Bruised saying the Brewers had no chance at getting the first round bye after the Phillies series when odds had them between 1 and 7% at passing one of the Phillies/Dodgers. Crazy how that works!

Edit: A little digging and wow it was easy to find. On August 19, 2022 the Brewers still had a 22.5% chance of winning the division based on Fangraphs odds and you were saying the division race was over.

I do have a lot of respect for the tigers players and organization this year to actually play when the internet jamokes have called you irrelevant in August and September

that being said the brewers showed up and the twins didn’t when games mattered.    They can watch us play for a little while longer

This is a sad part of the baseball season for me.

Of course, the Brewers making the payoffs is great.  And I'll be happily stressed out until they surprise everyone by winning the WS.  But I miss the daily ups and downs of a season.

When you get to this point, there's not enough tomorrows. That is sad.

Because you are on a crusade to dig up old posts, can you come up with what exactly I said after the Phillies series about the Brewers having “no chance” to get a first round bye?

I seem to recall saying that the Brewers should continue to play to win through the Arizona series and then see where things stood.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Yeah that's my bad. It was actually once again willie who made that comment.

Mathematically, it probably was difficult to expect the Detroit Tigers to perform like the 1927 New York Yankees in September based on winning percentage.

Similarly, the Twins probably were not supposed to have a worse winning percentage than the Marlins or Angels.

Both can happen, I guess.

At the game and Winker is getting booed. Brewers fans seriously need to let things go.  It’s not his fault CC pinch hit him and there’s no indication he didn’t give anything but his best.

I remember him being on the top rail and always cheering on the team.  Dude looked like a great teammate. Even through his struggles.
