Mets won game 2 against San Diego back in 2022. That's the only time a team has lost game 1 and won another game in the series. Teams going down 1-0 are 0-9 in series with a 1-9 record following game 1.

I missed the Mets! Never happened in the AL. I think 2020 was such a different format (16 team tournament) that I start at 2022.

Well, then, let's hope the Crew are the first team to win the SERIES after falling behind 1-0. It's going to happen someday.

We need to pile onto that 1-9 record, I know we will win tonight make it 2-9 after tonight. But it won't be a miracle if we win, we are better than they are.

As Vince Lombardi said, "Winning is not a sometime thing; it's an all-the-time thing. You don't win once in a while, you don't do things right once in a while, you do them right all the time. Winning is a habit, you must prepare to win, there is not a second place Super Bowl Winner."

Yeah I don't count 2020 for the same reason. 16 team format. No fans. 60 game season.

Definitely can't feel too good about entering a do or die game against a LHP sporting a lineup with 3 hitters with a wRC+ over 100 on the season.

2020 had no fans and 16 playoff teams so don't think that's comparable to the current situation.

That does not mean it's not comparable to the current situation....

I could see the no fans thing mattering for a road team that loses its first game, but we're at home.

Anyways, the point is that coming back to take a 3 game series after losing the first game likely isn't as improbable as the last few years have made it seem. It happens all the time during the regular season.

That's good because the last few years make it seem pretty darn improbable.

Yeah, not impressed with the lineup but we shall see.

I was so optimistic yesterday but still tempered my expectations and excitement.

Today, I am extremely pessimistic and have been dreading even watching the game.

All these years of watching have, sadly, conditioned me. [insert sad face here]

Same here. Haven't even watched the other playoff games today because I just am not in the mood to watch baseball.

The way today is going, it might be up to us to force a game 3, the rest of these series are probably going to be sweeps.

It's on espn2? I'm not sure I get that with YouTube. Gee, it's hard for fans to even find the game they want to watch. Why is viewership going down?

Montas is arguably the worst option in the rotation to start a Game 2. We'll see how it goes.

He’s been arguably the Brewers best pitcher in the second half
