And Drake Maye who wasn't bad. I'm not convinced about McCarthy. though.

Sanders also didn't impress me.  He looked very confused with any semblance of a pro-defense.

Totally forgot about Maye. He could easily be a...I don't know, Eason of that group. Good solid starter.

Sanders, I didn't watch closely enough to see what type of schemes gave him trouble, but I think he is good enough that if he plays in the right system, one that doesn't ask him to carry a team, he could be very good.

The touch and anticipation are obvious. The positives I've seen have been he understands the game and seems to be pretty NFL ready, but he doesn't have the arm to fit a ball in between two defenders. He and Ward seem...fairly similar to me. Ewers and Dart have a ton of upside, but those guys rarely hit.

On the Packers front, I wonder, if they were to trade back and pick up an extra pick and one of those QBs is available in the late 4th/early 5th, they add one...probably unlikely given how weak this class is. Tenn would be wise to move back if a team is willing to trade up for a Cam Ward and hope they can be in position to draft one of those two as projects(Which...is tougher with Clements gone again).

If ever there were a year for a team to try and take a flier on Willis, it'd be this class.

McCarthy, IMO, is better than anyone in this group. More athletic and again, Minnesota has all the pieces in place for a QB(they could use IOL help).

This is the first thing I noticed hopping on the site this morning. Somebody's trolling. April fools day I guess.

But seriously, this one is not funny

Except that it was posted on 3/31.

Typical Bears fan - just like their team, can't execute even the most basic of things.

I believe an April Fools post on 3/31 and lasting through 4/1 would be classified as a 'Double Doink'?

Well, that would be on the site administration... The Twin's site got the Packers and the Cubs' site got the Vikings.

I am well aware and am merely making a reference to the Bear's infamous double doink FG fail. Tis all.😁

Your comment was on @LouisEly's comment about a bears fan, so I was just clarifying whose timing miss it was.  And the fact that it is still there. 😉

😅. I didn't even notice. Nice job, Admin!😅 As a dad, and a connoisseur of 'Dad Jokes' I've come to understand a good joke is just as much about execution as it is the content of the joke. In this regard, this is a Joke Fail. Poor form!

QB Joe Milton to the Cowboys for a 5th Round pick. Guess he had his choice of teams for that return and his mother grew up a Cowboys fan.

That guy is just another FREAK from Tennessee.

They produce absolute monsters. Milton is 6'5, 240, can throw it a 85, had the 2nd hardest thrown ball in NFL history(that they've recorded) on a throw he was scrambling to his left and threw back across to the right and hit a Pats WR diving out of bounds in the EZ for a TD.

Kinda a dream or a nightmare backup. He's going to show fans some amazing things in camp and but he'll need a few years yet to develop(a theme with Tenn QBs).

The ideal backup. Better to ask yourself "can he harness his huge potential" than "can he overcome his deficits". Worst case is you lose a 5th rounder which isn't a big deal. Most teams do the same with 2nd Round picks.

Actually, there are a few team that do that with top 5 picks.  The Colts would be the most recent example.

National Sports Radio is complaining that the NFL Primetime schedule has the KC Chiefs on 7 times this season. They said the only reason there doing that is because of the Taylor Swift effect of last season not for choosing the best game of the week.  I guess the Cowboys, Eagles, Lions and Packers are now all second fiddle to Taylor Swift in the "NFL bigwig muckety muck establishment."

The growth of the NFL fan base over the last 15 years has predominantly come from women and from people outside of the US.  If they want to keep growing (and getting more ratings, and sell more merchandise), then they need to appeal to the young female population.

The fewer prime-time Packers games the better for me. I don't want to stay up super late to watch and if it's a Thursday game, most often I forget that they're even on and miss the game entirely.

Using the information available and the calculator at overthecap.com, it looks like Thuney's new contract puts the Bears about 8.75 million over the 2026 cap after they pay next year's rookie class.  The Packers are approximately 11.6 million over, the Lions are approximately 53.6 million over and the Vikings are approximately 53.7 million over.  Overthecap have 10 teams over the 2026 cap when including the Bears, It's interesting that 4 of them come from the same division.

I don't see this as being a big issue for the Bears as they have a whole bunch of players that will be seeing "new money" in 2026 which gives them a significant amount of wiggle room to restructure deals.  DJ Moore = 23.5 million.  Montez Sweat = 21 million.  Jaylon Johnson = 16 million.  Tremaine Edmunds = 15 million.  Jonah Jackson = 13.5 million.  Drew Dalman = 12 million.  Cole Kmet = 10 million.

The Packers have Clark, Jaire, Jenkins, and Gary that could be cut or extended with each having $24-31M cap hits next year (or savings of $14-20M each)

I don't see the Packers 2026 cap being a big problem at this time.  I'm not sure of all the rules surrounding cap carryover from one season to the next, but they are significantly under the 2025 cap now, so it wouldn't surprise me if they had a solid 20+ million to carry over from this season to 2026.  Add in all the players that you had mentioned that can be restructured, I think they are in pretty decent shape for 2026.
