Anderson surprisingly has been pretty good. Bad first outing but ever since only 1 run

They did. But if you can save your closer for the next game, you do that. You have to trust your pen to get the job done. That's why they are there.

 Yes.  Hudson has to do his job.  And it's a problem to be carrying Payamps when he can't be trusted at all to enter with a four run lead.

Both Hudson and Payamps have WHIPs over 2. Neither one should be out there in the 9th with a 4 run lead. They can't keep carrying both of those guys. Stick with Anderson or go to Trevor.

Mears has been good as well. Megill has been good outside of the bad outing in Arizona. They could really use late season Ashby in the pen to replace Hudson who looks like a shell of the dominant guy at the start of last season.

Since starting 0-4 they had scored the 4th most runs per game and posted the 2nd lowest ERA in MLB before tonight.

With tonight’s results rolled in they have a +32 run differential over the last 16 games.
