He’s finally back.    I really don’t expect much but anything is a bonus.    At least we might get a return on his contract even if it only lasts a month or so

Really pulling for Woodruff. Not just because of all he's had to endure, but he really strikes me as someone with a genuine soft spot for his teammates & for wanting to do well for this organization & fan base.

He is the type of person that epitomizes what Wisconsin fans desire.

  • Spent his entire career with one team
  • Seems like an ordinary guy -- someone who you can hang out with at the local Friday fish fry
  • Works very hard
  • Appreciates where he is in life
  • Cares about the team

I know the phrase, "There is no crying in baseball," was only from a movie.  But sometimes, I think it has been an unwritten rule.  Woodruff shows that baseball is more than a game -- it is a part if his life.  It involves not only the success on the bump, the the quality of the relationships and fellowship within the clubhouse.  The latter is extremely difficult to quantify because it does affect how players play.  Let's call it the Clubhouse Factor Coefficient (CFC+).  I would guess the CFC+ of the Brewers is 120 😉

Brandon -- win or lose, I'm glad you are a Brewer.

Missing a few quality bats today but excited for Woody’s return to the mound

A lineup with Durbin batting 6th doesn’t look very imposing, especially against a quality SP.

The offense has been struggling this week and runs may be hard to come by today.
