I hope Murphy doesn’t go on & on during his postgame press conference bragging on “what a great kid Peralta is” … & “what a gutsy performance” … despite only giving up a run in five innings, nothing about his performance tonight was worthy of compliments

5 IP, 1 R against a good Braves lineup isn’t that bad especially on the road

Brice is becoming a good big league hitter

On occasion, he waves his bat like the great Rod Carew & Tony Gwynn

I love those solid, guided line drive singles just over the infielders

In praise of Peralta, he is already over 3 WAR for only $8 million salary. That’s fair value.

I think he’s a good pitcher. I just think with one year left on his deal, the way they operate, they will probably trade him in the offseason.

I hope MLB General Managers are salivating over those stats during the offseason so we get back quality players for Freddy

I fear that Milwaukee trades Peralta & Carlos Rodriguez takes his spot 8n the rotation & replicates his frustrating high & low tendencies

Even if Peralta is traded in the offseason all of Priester, Misio, Henderson, Patrick, Myers, and Gasser would be ahead of Rodriguez in the pecking order. Coleman Crow should get added to the 40 Man this offseason too.

Given how much the Brewers emphasize depth I’d imagine at least one (or maybe even both) of Peralta  / Woodruff will be back next year depending how things shake out twixt now & then.

Freddy in the pen come playoff time might end up being the way to go. One time through the order seems like it may work out best.

Freddy is not the guy I would want coming out of the pen.  I do think I'd give Woody the ball in game 1 though.

Would you consider Ortiz, Hall and Durbin quality players?

We aren’t getting much more in a hypothetical Peralta trade than we did in the actual Burnes / Williams deals.

Yes … I like all those guys … I’m not as sure about Hall, but I believe Durbin & Ortiz will be longtime Brewers adding value to our roster each year

That wouldn’t have been a triple if Collins was the LF on the play.

Maybe

I mean I get watching him can be eye rolling... but big deep breath here friends.

Freddy is top 20 in the league in ERA (which is now flirting to go below 3). He is top 20 in SO. He is top 20 in opponents BA against. He definitely walks guys (11th) but because no one hits him his WHIP is still top 20 in baseball. Wins are a whatever stat but he leads the league in them and has an outside chance of being the first 20 game winner for Milwaukee since the Raegan administration...

... and he is making $8 million dollars a year...

.. and he doesn't get hurt.

Where else are you going to find a pitcher under 30 who will put up that stat line and only cost you that much who will take the ball every 5th day? (BTW, tied for 23rd in MLB in innings pitched coming into tonight)

We have been blessed this year with such great pitching that we are allowing ourselves to pick him apart when he has been a rock for us. He was the MVP of the team through the first two months outside of MAYBE Sal.

Monster truck type haul for him in the off season only ... otherwise he is here to try for the repeat and we trade him during or give him a QO after the year.

Freddy is frustrating but he is awesome.

Taking the temperature of the forum, I think it's really weird that some are down on Freddy but think Priester should get NL MVP votes 😂 A little too inefficient sometimes but he's been better by every single metric!

After tonight he's on track to lead MLB in Wins with a 3.03 ERA

Is the wind picking up? A lot of misplays all of the sudden.

8 to 17 mph gusts.
